Al final terminamos viendo cómo levantar pelotas cortadas (backspin) medias largas con topspin de derecho (forehand) cerca de la mesa ...menos pasar pelotas liftadas de distancia media (ni back ni top) sino simplemente pasar pelotas... Algo que nunca se aclaró ni se expuso en el vídeo!!!

The balls in the video were too long and not problematic, so Yan An could do a similar top spin just as for long balls.

Look at 3:58 the ball was practically as high as the table and close to the edge. What more do you want? It’s how to return half long ball not short ball 🙄

No, all the balls are almost short but he showed two timing for taking the balls: out of table or at highest bounce when it’s still on the table. He did like 5 of them you could see they are all of the same quality height and deep wise. The one that seemed easy is when he took it at highest bounce when the ball is still on top of the table but when he let it dropped the ball is already on table height when he took it. The less advance way that is told to beginner is just took your bat at exactly table height then brush the ball at an angle. This is safe but has weakness of weak return because it’s neither at it’s highest nor you have the freedom of full swing. There are another way but deemed outdated for new ball which to let it dropped even further and just lift it up, it add uneccessary risk to hit under the table and give too much time for your opponent to prepare.
