I love how nonchalant they are driving around the police cars and back up onto the expressway. I seen no real danger. They drove slowly up the ramp, where ONE car was creeping ahead on the shoulder. It wasn't busy, and no one was being stupid around other traffic. I don't see anything wrong with this from an ethical standpoint.
weerat99 I would have agreed before when all the guy was doing was doing a wheelie. All of that wen't to hell when they ran from the cops and wen't against traffic. They should have just stopped. It would have been a pain, but if all they did was wheelie, they probably would have been released the same day.
HDaviator cops legally cant make a road block what they were doing is illegal and they arent running from the cops legally you are allowed to go yes they did go up a on ramp (illegal) but in this both parties are at fault.
***** 1 .) The cops tried to hit them off their bikes. 2 .) The cops tried to rip them off their bikes (if you watch another video from a different point of view, you would see this). 3 .) The cops tried to tase them off their bikes (same thing as #2)
Not ruining it for me! I actually quite enjoy watching them do all those awesome stuff and not get caught by those nazis. Not something I'd ever do but it's enjoyable to watch, and it's definitely more safe than texting and driving, which nobody gets called a jerk for, and I've definitely never seen a road block to catch those people!
markleyg No, you see, I'm not. You don't know me and are just saying that because I disagreed with you. It's the amateur youtuber's logic: "he disagreed with me, so I don't like him and he is a piece of sh#t and blah blah blah" The most dangerous thing that can happen to them is getting run over by a range rover which is technically not their fault!
Wikipwnia Now I'm going to defend my argument and I'm gonna be called a squid and an idiot and such. Again, I am by no means a stunter and will never be one. Just defending my argument because I believe it is valid. Illegal is not always the same as unsafe. They could go up that ramp at that speed with those conditions hundreds of times and nothing would happen. As you saw in the video, it's quite hard not to see and hear hundreds of bikers coming towards you, and also the braking distance for a bike at that speed is virtually zero. Range Rovers and a-hole cops who cut you off are still the biggest danger here!
Wheelie dude gives the second amendment a whole new meaning. I mean, we all have the right to bare arms, but while doing 70 down the highway on a bike, are bare arms really a good idea? lololol I'm funny guys.
He put his own life at risk Even from dipping from cops he was driving wreckless.... This is how people express themselves not much different from jumping out planes bull fighting or fucking crossing a street If that what makes him happy He's not endangering other peoples lives
Well if he falls off and another motorist hits him because they can't stop on time, or they hit another motorist, other people are involved as well. There are other cars on the road while in skydiving, if you fuck up, you're not endangering other people's lives except for the people willing to help save you. In bullfighting, the bulls are in an enclosed area. Yes, other people in the audience can get hurt, but they agreed to it and are aware that the chances of it happening are much greater than lets say a motorcyclist falling off his bike and having another driver run him over. When I'm driving down the freeway to go to school, I'm not expecting a motorcycle to fall off. However, if this is on an empty freeway with no cars within a mile of them, then feel free to do whatever stupid stunt you want.
Why did the police get involved in the first place?? I mean other then the dude doing the wheelie everyone seemed like they were obeying the laws. All i saw was a shit ton of riders together not harming anyone.
Craig Silver No seatbelt = you go through windshield and make a nice gory mess on the road that now needs to be cleaned up. The law saves the taxpayers/govt money + less traffic backup from having to close off the highway while the mess is cleaned up.
Decent point. I still think its an unnecessary law meant for revenue more than safety. how is the law ensuring people actually use their seatbelt? My experience in auto insurance bodily injury claims is that more often than not those who don't wear seatbelts pose no threat to innocents only to themselves.
Craig Silver Counter point. You're going 50 km/h and you get rear ended by someone going 80. If you're wearing a seatbelt you stay safely in your seat with your hands on the controls. Without a seatbelt you might be thrown against the wheel, etc. Lose grip and then what? Steer into the sidewalk not intentionally? Overall I only see it as a law that's going to bring positive changes.
Well even with airbags deploying and chuck Norris behind the wheel it would be difficult to keep the car under control but yes, the seatbelt has to have positive benefits so I guess you win this one. Cause even though the law wont cause someone who wont, wear one, it will cause many more to do so who were too dumb to understand the benefits of wearing one without a law reminding them.
*Watching guy do wheelie* "Oh. Sweet. That takes some skill holding it like that for so long. Seems like a couple of friends out having fun." *Sees the entire swarm of bikers* "HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIITTTT!!!!!"
The feds pull their vehicles in an illegal position then you have the right to use whatever roadway that helps you avoid a dangerous obstruction. Is that law? Not sure but it should be. Either way there was something called a "road block" so what is that? Is that something that is controlled by the people? Or the government? That's the question we should be all asking ourselves.
Don't know Good question I guess it is pretty annoying Having to scroll down And down and down and down to read a post My bad I'll try and keep my sentences in a linear fashion Sorry couldn't help myself had to do this.... :P
During this entire video I was hoping a cop would just sideswipe the green cycle or atleast he falls over and get road rashed. Cycles are cool when they are not illegal
kalob powers Yeah sure you ride FMX. Anyway, I ride a street bike, a supermoto (which I race at a concrete track), MX, and enduro, I bet you're just a little squiddy diddly on a TT-R 125 who wishes he could ride FMX. Little shit.
lol yes please cry about because you can't get to where you're going as easily as they can :(... bikes are much more efficient then cars, also if someone were to open their door its their fault if someone hit it always. end of story good day sir
Lmao...if it aint hurting any1 and its all at the speed limit...why block it...too many bikes...So...when theres to many cars or bikes...people just get scared...just sit back relax and enjoy the show
dumbest comment i'v ever read....when you're on the road acting like an idiot turning into on coming traffic endangering the lives of others its alot worse than jumping out of a plane in a controlled enviroment
XwikedXclownX It's only dangerous for the biker. If someone wants to do something ballsy, let them. Its like, you get one chance to do things. WHy not make the most of it.
Harley Meekins It's not only dangerous for the biker when the biker loses it and runs into someone else, or puts himself in the middle of the road where someone has to make an evasive maneuver to avoid it.
Haha, titles a video "How to Avoid a Police Road Block"....solution is to turn on to another road, thanks for that! I would have never assumed that was an option. Can't believe I wasted my time watching this. Thankfully it is a Sunday and I have no other pressing matters :)
Looks like they all decided to go the wrong way on an on ramp, not just turning onto another road. That's a ton of bikes, wonder what law enforcement thought they'd actually gain?
***** Yeah I was a bit curious what they were intending too. I wonder if maybe one or more of these bikers had troubles with the law and so they decided to run up on the whole group? Otherwise, all I can guess is some other motorists called law enforcement and this was their response. Either way...apart from running them over and/or politely asking them to get off the bike...not sure what they can do, haha.
***** much truth in that. Id feel alot safer around a guy riding like that than a 16 year old girl who just got her license and is driving daddy's range rover. Him riding like that, to me, is much safer than a new driver, especially nowadays
It would be illegal if they are doing something against law such as, wrong lanes, running stop signs, running red lights, causing a wreck, or even block several cars doing the right and legal things. (Unless an officer is with the bikers, they can't do such activities. Riding in groups is legal.)
DUDE!! hahhaha Off on the ON ramp… classic… That was hysterical… The 4 cops didn't know what to do b/c there were so many freaking bikes.. that was crazy.
Elijah Beck Your spelling is reckless. Reckless = dangerous, inconsiderate to yourself and others Wreckless = someone who has never had a wreck - aka safe person
I love how you commenters portray yourselves as the biggest badasses yet you come to a video like this and become the most judgmental hypocrites and pretend you've never did 5 over the speed limit before....
Colin Richi this is an extremely controlled act. It's not that easy to pull off a wheelie. Speeding is a lot more dangerous than this is. You do you people come into a video like this and then talk trash? I came here to see a wheelie and how they evaded the police. It's entertainment and nothing you say or do will change what people do. If you don't like the video or what they are doing on the video, hit the back button and watch something else. :-) quit being an internet badass
when i once met a horde of 25 of hells angels blocking the left lane, i just drove up the middle lane to the first dude, and when everybody looked at me while i was passing and i reached the first dude, but couldnt pass because of more cars in front of me and he looked at me, i just made a raising shoulders&hand gesture(asking why that has to be right now). he kindly moved the whole pack to the midle lane and i could pass, thanking them with indicatorflashing. Isped up to 250kmh, to continue my tour, and the first dude came up the first 1km, that looked scary a bit like sons of anarchy blond longhaired dude who once shot a car driver from his bike... :/
Thanks for the dumb reply, captain obvious. My comment was about the oil pump pickup being out of the oil, because the bike is being ridden at about a 60 degree angle.
bigman55434 How does that make any sense...If some random dude runs a red light in a car, does he give motorists a bad name? No point comparing yourself to these guys, as they sure as hell don't consider you one of them...fckin hate straight people, always judgin'
You see, a random dude running a light is exactly that...a random dude. Sport bike riders, on the other hand, by and large ride irresponsibly, and put others and themselves needlessly at risk. If they want to ride wheelies and do stoppies, do it on private property, and not on public roads. One of these assholes tried splitting a lane between me and other car, going around a curve on a two lane exit ramp. Let's just say he didn't make it.
bigman55434 That's not true at all. Sportbikes make doing these sort of stunts MUCH easier than a cruiser (obviously) so that's why the videos of dangerous stunts almost always include sportbikes, but there's are THOUSANDS+ of registered sportbikes in America not doing wheelies, stoppies running from the cops, etc. THAT was an ignorant comment...
No if you stop the bike with spikes you would injur the driver or cause his death. The reason for a roadblock is to stop the danger occurring for other drivers and the causing person. So if you would use them you get in serious trouble :)
Yeah, but if they are a risk to other drivers, and using a roadblock is ineffective, wouldn't using such techniques be justifiable? If the bikers get hurt, yeah that's bad, but fair enough if you're gonna drive around in a risky manner
Problem with this is that safety goes for both causing person and other drivers ( its equal )so if you stop him this way the mission ( safety for all ) failed becaue one person got injured. Sorry man i cant describe it better since my mother language isnt english
iamevildoing Dunno about in the USA, but police can't use force in the UK to stop bikers, and i'd imagine it would be the same in USA too. If it's justifiable to injure and potentially kill someone who is breaking the law, then loads of things would be different if you think about it, like capital punishment, life sentences etc. If the rider's roadcraft causes damage, he is responsible, but If the police forcefully stop the rider, they will be responsible for any injuries and damage. If spikes are used, the bikes will most likely end up on their sides and being stopped ungracefully - the police would then be liable for any damages and could possibly not make any profits from charges and fines etc. Morality aside, I suppose all that is important is if the worst happens, who will be to blame and who will be forking out money - i'd imagine cops would like the answer to always be "them".
Agreed Daniel, They never hurt anyone. Perhaps trying to make a statement or something. Not much information with the video. All they deserve if anything is a 50 buck fine. That's assuming they broke a rule somewhere by riding a wheelie down the freeway. That was a lot of bikes though. Reminded me of so many ants.
1. Ridiculous wheelie. 2. They're literally going off of an on-ramp RIGHT IN FRONT OF COPS. 3. Shit, that is more bikers than I've ever seen in my life, combined. This video is nuts.
You got a 200 bike convoy and you want to avoid a road block. Answer Take another route, and if a single police car tries to stop you, just go around it. They ain't going to do shit.
I owned a CBR 600RR until my friend took it from me. Was his bike but I learned to ride it. Anyway. QUESTION: Is it Easier to do a Wheelie with a Tire Deflated? Seems like some stunters Bike Tires are aweful thin. Reguardless your going to make a Flat Spot in the tire but for beginners best to lower the PSI? Thanks
That was awesome lol guy leading the way doing a wheelie with a whole army of bikers behind him. Epic. And the nonchalant way of refusing their road block lol like seriously what are you gonna do I have 600 bikers to 4 cop cars.
