I bought a new drive to replace 2 old drives (and have plenty of space left over,) and this was just the trick to get everything on to the new drive via usb 3.0 before swapping the drive into the bay. I didn't want to rely on windows to do this as I had had problems in the past of it ignoring certain files (even with show hidden on,) or even it cancelling seemingly on its own and ceasing to transfer in mid-operation leading to lost hours of time.

I am using windows 10 built in one drive backup for smaller files and for larger I have it on my really old 40gb hard drives.

Hi. Firstly thanks for this amazingly helpful video. I did the backup to my google drive(I have 2 tb storage). The whole back up was over and above 250 gb. Now when I go to my Google drive itss just showing me a zip. How do I view all the different folders? What if I wanna download select folders from my back up? Please help!

i have bad sectors on hdd because it fell and when i insert it it say format drive F: to use it. i used stellar phoenix data recovery professional. first time it worked and i started extracting process it stopped saying that i dont have enough storage even though i had and i specifically remember my hdd got hot af and next time i started processing it did slowed down like f at a certain point. i want to recover this data so bad. pls pls pls help i will be so thankful of you.

Question: Can I shut down my PC and turn it on and continue with the first time (and any other) backup after turning it back on? I need to backup more than 2.5 Tb and that will take too long and sometimes I need to restart my PC for my work, so cannot leave it backing up for days. If not, is there a software that will allow me to do that?

Dear ACS data recovery I am using a business solution program , to manage my business, the program records every day activity, how can i back up the data especially the recent data using .bat like programs by using one folder on the desktop which i command and an other folder the data to be backup auto at other drive.

Backing up data can take along time, if you use Acronis True Image, Paragon Drive Copy, Aomei Backupper, you will notice it will take along time to restore your data, all depends on the size of the files/folders that are going to be backed up, say I have a 2TB HDD with 1.8GB Data, that will take between 8-11 hours to restore data.

Suppose I have 3 gb data and I select daily backup then whether backup size increase everyday or it just backup modified data only

Did not kbow about F backup, but Acronis I use, and it is worth it.

I havent tried it yet, but with the autobackup, does it only add new stuff, or does it change also. Like example music folder, if i delete a song, will the backup delete it also?

why use that program (fbackup) if windows 10 already offers a way ?

Say your main drive gets a virus, would it automatically copy its self to the backup drive? even though the virus copied itself to a folder that your not backing up?

Another good online solution I've had great luck with and that includes restoring data is Carbonite. They are not free but you get UNLIMITED backup for $59/year. With them all you have to do besides install the software is have your computer be online and any changes are backed up. The initial back up can take hours if not days depending on how much there is to upload but once it's done the incremental back ups are easy. It will even wait until you are not touching your mouse and keyboard before it will speed up the back up process. When you restore make sure you temporarily prevent your computer from sleeping as it can take awhile to download all of your data and sleeping can mess things up.

I have two external hard drives, two USB thumb drives and I have automatic photo uploading on my phone and computer to Google photos. As a photographer you need separate sources for protecting data. I keep my hard drives in a fire safe.
