How to balance a BMPCC 6K Pro on a Weebill S

In this Video i explain, how i balance the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6k Pro on a Zhiyun Weebill S
I balanced a Walimex(Samyan Rokinon) 35mm 1.5 VDSRL as a heavy Lens;
a Tokina 11:16mm & a Canon FD 28mm 2.8 (with ef mod from shapeways)
Also the Canon 17-55 2.8 will work fine!
As you can see you can balance almost every lens from 150 gr. to 750 gr. on a Weebill S with the BMPCC 6k Pro!
How do you like my way to balance the Bmpcc?

It also works with the smallrig cage! But you are more limited with the lens choice.

Been waiting for this video. I saw your comment on another channel about making this video. Still a little confused even after watching the video. So you need to put the SSD on top and the sony battery on the side to properly balance it? Also, I am having difficulty understanding how you attached the sony battery on the bottom of the gimbal. I know you used the trans mount but you did not explain what the trans mount was mounted to on the bottom of the gimbal. I have almost all the accessories you listed except the mount underneath the gimbal. BTW thanks for the video.

Hi! Thanks for your comment! First of all, you don‘t need the Ssd on top, it works with and without it. The Transmount is exclusively for the webill S. There are 2 small screws under the motorarm were you detach a plate and attach a mount for the Transmount arm. (Just look in the Internet for a manual, hard to discribe) in the Transmount plate are 3 screwholes. You attach the magicarm in the middle hole and put the batteryplate on the other side of the arm like i did in the video. Yes you need the sony battery as a counterweight for the lens. 200-300 gramm lens should work without a battery. 300-500 gr. with a npf 550 and over 500 gr. a npf 970. you really have to find the sweet spot, were to place the bat plate exactly and finetune it. It works if you are patient enough :-) Summary: the Transmount arm is the essential part to attach a counterweight. the magicarm makes it easy to find the sweetspot for the weight (in my case a battery)

I'm confused about the section where you hooked the magic arm to the gimbal. I want to know the accessory you used to attach the magic arm to the gimbal. I can see it but I don't know what it is. That's the only accessory you didn't list. Thanks

@@Moepiproduktions Does it work fine for you in bmpcc6k pro? I bought a similar one and it doesn't work for me, the camera turns off with the npf70 batteries even so, I read that it was only compatible with the 6k and 4k version but not pro, how do you make it work for you friend?

Good job, how long does the gimbal battery last with this camera model. I have the same gimbal and now I'm thinking about which camera model to buy the 4k or the same camera that you have. Thanks

Hi! Thank you 😊 I did not do a stress test for so long. But i think the Battery will last for 6-8 Hours. I‘ve loaded the Battery‘s only two times till i‘ve got the Bmpcc 6K (3Weeks till now) So you can just buy an extra pair of Batteries and you should ready to go for a whole day. If you have the money, go for the 6K Pro! No issues at all!

Hey there, I am looking for the mount but the link you have is not to the english websie. Not really sure what im searching for, do you have it's name? In addition, what is the side handle that you have (the second handle on the right) called? Do you have a link? I would love to set my weebill S up this way! Used to have my black magic on the moza air 2 but it is just so heavy and doesnt balance very well... thanks!

Hi! The sidehandle is the DH03 from agimbalgear. You find it on amazon. The attachment is just for the Weebill S called Zhiyun TransMount Multifunctional Extension Plate for Weebill S Quite rare atm

Umm, so the weebill S works cause my pocket 6k doesn't fit on the weebill 2, or at least there's not enough room to balance from left to right, ugh

Explain me, wich Cable you mean. The cable to the Battery should be a lpe6 dummy battery cable for Canon. All other cables are from the Gimbal itself.

hi there, i see that you have the manual focus wheel there. question, are you able to use the wheel on the Weebil S for focusing? i know it works on a GH5, how about the BMPCC? thanks

I don‘t get it, sorry🫣 The focus wheel is fix @ my Weebill S and it controls the zhiyun focus motor. Yes. Nothing is really camera related.

@@Moepiproduktions He meant lenses that have AF, BMPCC 4K with an AF lens can work, you don't need a focus motor (just connect the camera to the gimbal), I guess with the latest firmware it can also work with 6K, of course that doesn't apply to manual lenses, they need a focus motor like in your setup .
