I actually giggled to myself when you said catering gets pushed back because you need to finish a scene. It’s seems to be the story of my life at the moment! I am forever losing my lunch break because I have to do touch ups before the actors need to go back on set. Or maybe more actors are coming in that afternoon and need to be ready by the time lunch has finished! I just thought it was that the scheduling wasn’t good lol! But listening to you it seems it must be an on going thing for all makeup artists! 😢

hahaha it really is just the story of our lives isn't it!! I have just come of a big job for the last 4 months and you will be pleased to know they where really good on making sure we always got meal brakes, so I do thin scheduling and the size of the job has something to do with it. I always say, I just take the good with the bad. id rather miss a meal and be a makeup artist then work in an office haha 😜

Hey Ellie! I just found your content when looking into makeup art! I’m a recent graduate from highschool with a degree in Visual Arts but now I really want to make professional makeup my career. I know you mentioned it doesn’t matter what school you go to but my would be question what should I major in? I’m very interested in the film aspect (I’m unsure if that determines what go to school for)

What course at college do you recommend doing to become a makeup artist

I recommend ay course, it's hard to say or know what a good course is until you're there and with your teacher. But I would say do as much work experience as you can! thats where you will learn the most
