I've always struggled to be happy at home. After a lot of research I've finally discovered that my parents are toxic. It drains me everyday. I'm so different to both of them and my brother and it's so hard to come home and stay in the same frame of mind I was before I entered. I love being at school as i am away from home and have so many different people around me but, during the holidays when everyone is away, I really struggle to stay positive and energetic. It's so draining just being around them. Do you have any suggestions for when you physically cannot remove toxic people fro your life just yet? Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh Amy. Amy my beautiful friend. This resonates with me so much and I sit here sending my love to you 💜 this is so difficult. You see, a very close member of my household suffered with depression for a long while and I never knew that until recently, but the negative draining of energy on everyone was so prevalent. So I feel you, and I'm sorry. Find comfort in yourself and time spent with you. At the end of the day, the only person in this life that will always be with you and there to support you is yourself, so make sure you are cultivating the best version of yourself and looking after you! If it ever got really really bad, I think I'd even bring it up with my parents, but I understand that probably not an appealing option. I desperately hope things resolve themselves, and if they don't, I hope you have the strength to battle through it all remain positive even in a household of darkness. It is all temporary. Thank you so much Jade! I am fortunate to live only a road from my best friend, who I consider more of a relative than my actual relatives. It is mainly just the holidays when she and many others are away that makes things much harder. I would usually try to go to the library or anywhere so that I can be out the house and not feel awkward on my own, but as it is the Easter weekend I am quite stuck aha. I am so happy I discovered your videos. We have a similar mindset, however I'm three years older than you and at your age I was completely different, struggled with mental health issues and damaged myself through various things. It's so refreshing to see someone attack your life stage in such a positive manner... I wish I'd of had a friend like you when I was 16. Keep up the good work, you're flying high girl! X
I'm sad I've only just found your channel; you are so positive and your videos just make me smile! I myself am having issues with being surrounded by some toxic people. The worst thing about it is when I first started hanging around with them I was convinced they were some of the nicest people I knew and gradually started to leave the group of friends I was in - a genuinely *good* group of friends. Now it has been a few years I don't have the same relationship I once had with my old friends, I don't see/speak to them as much, and the group of people I wrongly switched to hang around with have turned bitter. I don't feel like I can tell them anything because I know they would just tell everyone straight away. They don't encourage me to do anything I like, make me feel better or just be supportive in any way. Nothing like the group friends I once had at all :\
Wow. This resonated with me so strongly. I was the opposite; used to have the toxic friends and gradually discovered the less "popular" but genuine friends that I NEED. This is so difficult, but you have GOT to prioritise yourself my friend. Perhaps reach out to whoever you were closest to in the nice group of friends and express the issue. People are nice and appreciate authenticity 💜 perhaps slowly distance yourself from the toxic people (I know - easier said than done!) and cultivate doing more things that YOU LOVE! if they don't love it, fine. I'm sorry if this couldn't help. This is a topic i'd love to do in more depth after exam season! So much love x x x

When I go back to school in a couple of days after the Easter holidays I'm going to talk to practically the only person I still speak to properly from the friends I had about it. I speak to him somewhat regularly and feel comfortable talking to him about anything. I look forward to watching that video after exams if you decide to make it :)

I literally was meant to go to bed 2 hours ago but instead I found your channel and have binge watched so many of your videos. You are one of the most inspirational people I have ever watched on yt or talked to in real life. I have the lowest level of confidence in myself it is unbelievable, I have friends and I'm not the most stupidest person ever but I never believe in myself because I care too much about what other people think and I hate e feeling that people might be talking about me behind my back. I'm going into year 11 this year and I found I'm finally happy mostly do do with the fact that I have completely ignored the popularity hierarchy and I did get rid of toxic people. Last year I decided I would sit with a table that weren't exactly popular but honestly the most welcoming friendly people in school. From year 7 to 9 I have hated school and now I look forward to going :) Honestly jade you're so right if you strive to be popular and are surrounding yourself with bitchy negative people you won't be happy.
