Absolutely, it's not easy to overcome such strong emotions. Sometimes, when we're triggered, we're actually projecting our past experiences onto present situations without realizing it. It's crucial to recognize this and take a step back. Asking yourself, 'if I don't get angry, then what?' can help you envision alternative responses. Maybe it's taking a moment to breathe, postponing the conversation for a better time, going for a walk, or expressing your feelings verbally. Remember, anger is a natural emotion and shouldn't be repressed; it's a part of us that deserves acknowledgment and understanding. Keep exploring different ways to manage it! 👍☘

Sharing from my experience, when I was in middle school, I was having a hard time with the popular kids in my class. To me, they are noisy, and undisciplined and probably I look like a stuck-up to them (I'm oftentimes really stoic, I don't necessarily follow every rules but I would follow what can benefit me). Overtime I just, well, stop caring entirely, even though they still disrupt every lessons, my brain started to filter out their noises and stop caring As mentioned before, although I'm pretty stoic, I'm still the most talkative one in my friend group. I don't consciously feel like I'm being loud when I talk to them but subconsciously I hate to be considered loud and annoying (I can be like that sometimes). I guess I just learnt how to accept that part of myself now, although hardly expressed Thanks for this video, Pixi-gags! This one hits pretty close to me and it starts my day!

I just found your channel and I've immediately fallen in love with it! Your animation tutorials are really sweet and I can't get enough of your artstyle, IT'S SO HEARTWARMING DUDE I clicked on this vid because this is genuinely something I've wondered about myself. For obvious personal reasons I won't go into specifics... but what if what triggers me is, in a sense, inherently toxic... or unhealthy? What if I don't like that part of myself because I know it's something that's not right to do or be...? What if I've spent a majority of my time blocking out that feeling in order to attempt to be a better person? In order to try to grow into someone I'm happy with being? These kinds of psychological videos always have me wondering this exact question... I really wanna hear what you think! Keep making these masterpieces, bro! I'll definitely be checking out your stuff in the future!

Thank you so much Hohe, I appreciate you liking this channel and sharing your story!! About the way you feel, that's exactly what the shadow is. You are not alone, we are all wired that way but because it happens at a subconscious level, we are unaware it's happening. The fact that you can feel it somehow it's positive, it means you will be able to integrate it and become your authentic self. Let's say your "mask" with the world is to be a nice person, you will then project to others your negative feelings, you will cause ( without being aware ) people around you to react negatively and confirm your core believe that you are good and there is something wrong with them. This will keep you safe from feeling shame, but it will make you live in a loop of doing this over and over. Try to see yourself as a wonderful all, accepting also those parts of you that ( for now ) you see as negative or shameful.

Anger toward innocent emotions/expressions is often a result of cognitive dissonance. It can result from any number of things, like repression, trans generational trauma, or abuse. In order to relieve ourselves of the mental unease associated with cognitive dissonance, we often displace anger onto the subject of our unease. Example: those with internalized homophobia are often vocal in their dislike of the LGBTQ+ community - although, they are likely repressing their sexuality in doing so. This process is entirely unconscious. One way we can break down cognitive dissonance in a healthy way is by becoming self-aware. When we take note of the patterns in our feelings and behaviors, we can better question ourselves and assess our beliefs logically [rather than with unconscious associations]. One note of criticism: triggers aren’t always a mirror to our hidden emotions. If an individual with PTSD were to assess their triggers this way, it would likely cause them to feel shame or guilt. I have PTSD and my triggers cause me to become angry because they make me relive past assault. Assault doesn’t make me angry because I secretly want to assault someone. I only want to make note of this because it’s important to remember that human emotions are extremely complex. Two people can have similar affective presentations while having entirely different underlying pathologies. My criticism is by no means intended to bash this video. My only aim is to educate. I love your work! ❤

Hello Simply, thank you so much for reaching out! 💖💖 The reason for hate is judgement, most likely there is a part of yourself you find responsible for something. When a child receives abuse, he internalizes the abuser as part of himself. Even if the abuse stops, that inner part keeps up the abuse. Do you think this can be your case? ( Abuse is not necessarily physical. Invalidation, blame and shame are also abuse. )

I only recently discovered I do this pretty aggressively...it's very hard to not do it. But it's also extremely hard not to hate yourself. That's one thing I've realized that I know it's not them I'm hating...it's me. I worry I hurt the man I love and live with some days with how I act...I never mean it. But it's already said..
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 2 месяца назад
Dear @Cynnabuns, Thank you so much for sharing your comment. Anger often stems from inner conflict. You might have parts of yourself that feel neglected and are expressing that anger. This doesn't mean self-hate; it’s an opportunity to understand what's going on within you. Suffering usually comes from identifying with things outside of you, comparing yourself to others, or to an idealized version of who you think you should be. The moment you accept things as they are, your quality of life improves. It's important to love every part of yourself, even the part that gets angry. Talk to that part and listen to its needs. 💖 Wishing you all the best!

No matter how much I treat others as I'd like to be treated, I have never managed to treat myself as I'd like to be treated. If I look in the mirror, there's a good chance I'll see a slob. If My housemate is cleaning, I'll likely view myself as a lazy butthead (The context is deeper, don't assume theyre the ones doing this, we talked about it a bit ago and I got to the bottom of the problem).
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 3 месяца назад
Dear Dag, I understand what you're experiencing, and I've been through something similar myself. Here's what I've learned: From a young age, we internalize how we're treated by our caregivers, forming an internal voice that influences how we treat ourselves. If we were treated poorly, that voice can be harsh and critical. But here's the thing: you have the power to challenge those negative messages. It may be tough at first, but with time, you can change that inner dialogue. Think of it as re-parenting yourself. You can create an inner parent who is kind, compassionate, and supportive. It could be someone you admire, like a mentor or a fictional character. Start by disengaging from those negative thoughts and memories. You deserve kindness and self-compassion, just like anyone else. Remember, you're stronger than you think.

By accepting what happens, both good and bad, you will find inner peace. (btw, accepting doesn't mean being passive, you can still take action... but you will take action driven by your hire self, not driven by negative emotions)

So I'm supposed to accept people who enjoy harming others??
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 2 месяца назад
As they say, @Transformers2Fan1, "hate the sin, love the sinner." Of course, you shouldn't condone violent or illegal acts; those should have consequences. The point is that negative feelings of anger and hate don't harm the other person but only yourself, as you hold onto them, ruminate, and sink into a low vibrational state. Realize that inside, we all have the same parts, including the one that enjoys causing pain. In most of us, it's repressed because society doesn't overtly approve of it, but it exists somewhere. Remember: "In the midst of chaos, find stillness within." ✌☘

What if you already love others around you, but you still hate yourself?
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 4 дня назад
Hi @AgentCalifornia! The feelings you're describing can indeed be complex and often stem from deeper psychological patterns. According to developmental psychology, our self-perception and worldview are influenced by early relationships and experiences. The four patterns you mentioned are: - Me Good, World Good: Positive self-image and view of the world. Generally associated with healthy self-esteem and an optimistic outlook. - Me Good, World Bad: Positive self-image but a negative view of the world, which can lead to feelings of frustration or helplessness despite personal self-worth. - Me Bad, World Good: Negative self-image but a positive view of the world. This can create a sense of unworthiness or self-doubt, even in supportive environments. - Me Bad, World Bad: Negative self-image and view of the world. Often linked to more profound issues like depression or low self-esteem, where both self-worth and external perceptions are negative. If you love those around you but still struggle with self-hate, it might be that you’ve experienced people comparing you to others in a devaluing way. These negative beliefs can become ingrained and impact how you see yourself. It’s important to recognize that these are projected beliefs, not reality. When you feel unworthy or undeserving of kindness, you might subconsciously behave in ways that reinforce this perception, leading others to treat you poorly. By bringing these patterns to conscious awareness and challenging them, you can start to change these dynamics over time. Self-awareness and self-compassion can help in reshaping your self-perception and improving how you relate to yourself and others. All the best! ❤✌

This video suggests blindly integrating every part of you into yourself, but, in what way can senseless anger be good? You shouldn't just integrate everything bad, that'll make you worse, no?
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 3 дня назад
Hi @pedrosso0! Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing your thoughts. Anger, like other emotions, is a response to internal conflicts or unmet needs. It isn't an inherent part of your identity but rather a signal from different parts of your psyche that may be in conflict. For example, if you were shamed for crying as a child, you might have learned to repress that part of yourself. Consciously, you may associate crying with being weak or bad. When you see someone else crying, it can trigger a negative response in you because it brings up those repressed feelings. This reaction can feel like a surge of uncomfortable energy, prompting you to project your discomfort onto others. To work through this, it's important to recognize that crying is a natural and healthy response. By allowing yourself to cry and validating that part of yourself, you can reduce the negative emotional charge associated with it. Over time, you may start feeling compassion for people who are crying instead of feeling triggered. Integrating different parts of yourself involves acknowledging and accepting all aspects of your experience, even those you find difficult. There are no inherently bad parts; each part of you has developed to help you cope in some way. Misbehavior often stems from unresolved internal conflicts or unmet needs rather than from integrating these parts. Holding onto a self-image of perfection can lead to projecting one's faults onto others, causing more harm. Embracing all parts of yourself, including those that make mistakes, can lead to healthier relationships and a more authentic self-understanding. I hope this helps, and I wish you all the best! ❤
@pedrosso0
@pedrosso0 3 дня назад
@@PixiGagsthank you for your thorough response, I can't imagine how much time it takes to respond to all these comments. That being said, in the first few seconds of this video, anger is shown as one emotion that is repressed due to shame. I'd definitely say that there exist inherently bad parts. I am aware that this goes against public opinion and could be wrong but I simply have not seen any way for it not to be. While they may have developed to do something for us, I certainly think emotions can be bad: anger and frustration towards something someone else does that they're not disallowed to do, feeling yourself to be better than everyone else as that's just factually incorrect, as for sadness: being super sensitive to fictional characters' struggles or deaths I'd say are bad traits, and that's just a few
