That last tip really helped to alleviate my nervousness. There's a young lady I've been interested in and I was mad nervous about her, just seeing would make my me tense up and break into a sweat. One day I got a opportunity to talk to her and I just went for it, had a topic on standby and the conversation was pretty cool, brief but it was cool. Now when I see her I'm nowhere near as nervous as I used to be.

Very good topic. I seen the movie "she's the one" and not even know if she's even into me (overly investing in one lady). Took me a lot of rejection to find out a better way to do things. One of the best statements in this video was about improving yourself. I have always sought to improve me, so that I stay ready and don't have to get ready. Solid list as usual! I’ve learned all of these but it’s a shame that it’s mostly come with age and experience. Sure wish I knew now what I didn’t know then but honestly, I didn’t have the experiences yet to establish some of these good guidelines! I’ll add that the importance of asking questions to converse with a woman helps you find if she’s interested or not. If she gives short answers that you can’t follow more conversation with you know it may not be what you were hoping for. Making sure you don’t ask questions that sound like an interrogation is also helpful. Style OG nailed it when he said converse with her like you would with your own friends!

At the end of the day, we’re imperfect people, but striving to be the best that we can be. That’s why I like and subscribe to channels like yours. Now, with that being said, I’ll get to my point! This is a great topic, and it goes both ways! After 19 years of marriage, my divorce was final last year. After my divorce, I went out on a date with a guy I met through a friend. OMG, I was super nervous!! We had a nice time, and went out several more times. This guy was totally different from my ex-husband. He has his own place, his own car, picked me up for our outings, opened the car door for me, and acted like a real gentleman. After being in a rotten marriage for so many years, it just felt good to be in the presence of a man that treated me like I was worthwhile. But then, I realized I was doing just what you said we shouldn’t do, and that was putting this man on a pedestal. Sometimes he would make snide comments about me, and I would laugh it off as if it didn’t matter, but some of his comments would sting. I’m not perfect, but I’m a good woman with a kind heart, and I don’t make comments to people that could possibly hurt their feelings or offend them. The point I’m making is we should NOT put people on pedestals, we should be our authentic selves, and if the person you’re interested in doesn’t see the value in YOU, and treat you accordingly, you should move on. Life is too short to jump through hoops for unappreciative people.❤️

I’m 6’4” athletic, well travelled, started my own business, read to improve my knowledge and subsequently share it with others, love my family, have an education in anatomy and physiology……and aged 51 years young have become single and available (divorced). My thoughts are even if we have reasonably good attributes and have loyalty, compassion, empathy, determination, emotional intelligence, physical fitness and resources, we can still get nervous regards finding a new partner. There’s always room for improvement, starting with myself.

Great video! Little advice from what I have run into is don’t completely replace talking with texting. I was chatting with a woman through text for about a week. Then out of nowhere she called. I froze and didn’t answer. What was I afraid of? Who knows! Lol. Texting is great but talk and try to do it initially first. That way you can be ready and more comfortable!

Love that "get in and get out" point. Classic advice for meeting people at parties, bars and social gatherings. Nothing worse, more uncomfortable and terrible for your nerves than staying there too long and leaving your new friend, colleague or possible date bored, when you want them to be interested and asking for a little more.

One effective way to deal with nervousness, you need to embrace and accept the sensations. A good method is taking improv lessons, which teach you how to think fast on your feet. Sometimes, I use to practice this technique on an elevator, because everyone would be dead silent and would use the moment to put a spin out there to break the monotony. Always remember opening a dialog is giving an invitation to a party. How many times people have thrown a party and not everybody show up? You accepted the fact some people chose something else over your event. The party still went off as planned and those attended enjoyed themselves. Never take it personal on the Decline, because someone else will Accept.
