About the Delhi TOV 12:25 it wasn't nerfed, it was just a text change. TOV always reduced the reload time of infantry by 15% (so increases the attack speed by 17.6%) the text on the TOV was changed but the units still attack at the same 17.6% faster rate than the previous patch

Hey, #Beastyqt. I just wander, do pro-gamers like You use any data science tools to prepare their strategy or just basic unit description and in-game experience and hard practice?

Mangudais are still pretty good against MAA atm, they can kite for days and with ranged attack +1, they can still easily kill feudal MAAs. You need about 14 of them to shut down any MAA spam and they don't get countered by Spearman as well if the enemy decides to go pure melee. Keshik is a great counter though they have a lot more trouble vs Spears than other Early Knights.

Ottoman with siphai with the +2 meele Armor of metha is really good against feudal age maa with range because you kite ofc attackspeed is better

5:40 How about Musofadi vs Man at Arms combined with Landsknecht? I see this combination really often and Landsknecht demolishes Musofadi warriors even before I try to kill them with archers.

no landsk in feudal. castle malian has lots of archers. you get shreded if you are caught unprepared musofadi mass into a few landsknechk

before ghazi rider it was actually impossible to beat MAA all in with delhi. The biggest problem is getting the +1 ranged damage before dying. Only way I beat it in test games was when I made tower of victory archer only and started kiting from their base and in that game my opp wasn't allowed to make horses.

plus while they just a-move into your base you have to focus on microing which means they can focus on macro

How to counter longbowmen-maa as archer civs (like Abbasid)? I only found +1tc + pure archers to one shot. Camels wont work.

Agree, there too darn expensive, and losing one early game is kind of a big deal, i found better luck in getting to castle as fast as i can

MaA are counted by a castle age unit (xbow) so how to counter them in feudal is helpful. Beating knights is just making enough spears.

so basically there's a fatal flaw in the game in an hre mirror. You can't counter the maa you have to match it. Castle aged units should never have been incorporated into feudal for this reason imo.

But like Beasty said you can make horsemen and hit the opponent gold which is countering MAA because they need gold to make them. Then make outposts on your resources and they can't hit you. With that gold saving you can then get up to castle earlier. Gotta think outside the box a little.

@@thegorn I respect that but that requires you to know in advance that they are actually planning on using early maa. And if they have towered their gold then your horsemen are redundant. Beasty said to use kiting archers but it's not a great solution here.

It's the same in any mirror. English v Enlglish is whomever can mass more longbows. French v French is whomever masses more knights

i found out that the hard way today. got rushed by hre as hre. I was going fast castle but made double barracks and had about 12 maa out. Other hre player was going heavy feudal and had about 20 or so when he attacked me. He had to back off at 1st and make rams as i would have held under my tc. I had to switch over to massing maa but my opponent kept making them and by the time he built 3 rams i might have had 20 maa but was still out numbered. One i lost my maa trading out with his under my tc i couldn't stop the 3 rams as he still had half a dozen maa in my base killing vills.
