Thanks for watching! It's good to make Smash Content again. I used a good chunck of Riddles' video because I thought it was super helpful. See the link to the full video in the description. Also, I mentioned Kazuya's reflector isn't the best. Yes, it's the most powerful, but that doesn't make it the best, especially when considering it's usefulness. Wolf and Fox have the best (most useful) reflectors in the game imo.
0:35 - No. Please, do NOT let Kazuya go on flat stages at ALL cost. Platforms are your absolute best friends, not only because you can use them to camp him out, but also because Ferps' tech is a 50/50, not a true followup, and the Kazuya player has to commit to going for the tech in advance instead of reacting, which means that if you win the 50/50 and DI away from the plat you'll be safe
Yo don't take kazuya to FD/flat stages lol everyone know this. Even tho he can potentially use platforms to his advantage, it's almost always more in your favor. Being able to platform camp kazuya makes fighting him alot easier. Speaking of which that's probably the best tip for fighting kazuya, play lame/camp. Lazer is not a good tool for making people approach, just sheild it or jump around it. Make him approach you he's pretty degenerate and can kill you off a single win in neutral, there's no shame in playing lame against him.
Agreed, zoning/camping is the best way to beat Kazuya, and that's why I said the stage pick depends a lot on which character you use. I main Link, and Link zones best without platforms, so I'm biased. Plus Link can juggle Kazuya well without platforms. So, the stage picking has a lot of variables to it.
@@TravPlay Ima be blunt with you in my criticism, I really think you should've been more clear that YOU like FD/kalos vs kazuya cause YOU play link. An overwhelming majority of all characters in the game do not want to take him to FD that's just a fact. The way you presented your video made it seem like FD is a bad stage for Kazuya which is just flat out wrong lol. There's a reason riddles switches to kazuya if his opponent chooses FD. It's notoriously good for kazuya and this is common knowledge. His weak neutral becomes alot better and his combo strings are easier to do (yes kazuya can use platforms in his combos but they tend to be a hindrance and actually offer more opportunity to mess up his strings). Decent video tarnished by this genuinely terrible peice of advice.
@@TravPlay nah he's right, you should've worded it differently. Just accept the constructive critisme dude, theres no shame in learning. We all love and appreciate the vid you made, but there are just some things you could've done better.
As a Kazuya main, I MURDER people on any FD stage, platforms were a bit of an issue until you perfect the Ferps tech. When characters DI away, I just cdc into DGF. At that point, if my execution is there you’re just dead. You also didn’t mention EWGF. Literally his best move. A good Kazuya with kill you off one Electric and there will be nothing you can do about it. Also the blue line doesn’t matter if you just take a small step inward, before continuing the combo. Notice it when you watch riddles zero to death,
It’s a good that you come back in Smash Travplay and it a year later for this and I accept your apology what you just said in the video and I know to beat Iron Fist of Darkness: Kazuya Mishima 😊
Yes, I too think Rage Drive is broken. You are winning and then he basically uses a K.O. Punch at you. Pretty unfair. However the biggest issue is the armor in it and that is not a problem with Kazuya, but the entire roster of Smash who has armor. You simply HAVE armor. If it was something like MK where you need to spend a resource to have armor it would be ok, but people just keep spamming armor moves as a excuse for easy wins instead on how to properly space out the move. It's like DB FighterZ with Classic Broly. Exact situation. I main Sephiroth and I'll purposely never learn how to proper use the armor. If I win because of the armor I consider it a failure/not a win. Also I already knew about the blue line from EWGF, but come on! I'm not 13 years old anymore. My reflexes are not that good. Max I can do is indeed change DI, but based on luck (choose to input in and then out hoping it'll do the trick). I hate Tekken these days, but I still like Kazuya A LOT. Was pretty happy when he was announced for Smash. If one day I start to play as another character aside my main Kazuya will be this other one simply because I like the character, not the playstyle (which I can learn no problem).
he's pretty good tbh, probably High tier not quite top tier. He's not solo viable meaning if you main him you will want to have a secondary to cover his bad MU's. he will also get worse over time as people get better at the MU, he can be a big problem to fight but he has glaring weaknesses you can take advantage of.
If you can, try to outrange him. Other than his Neutral B, he doesn't have much range, and is quite slow on the ground. A sword character like Ike or Cloud, or a fast (or small) character like Pikachu/Pichu, Fox, Falco, or Sonic can help. I should know: I beat a Level 8 CPU Kazuya as Ike, Cloud, and Sonic before.
