Every other campaign I start is Skaven. They’re just so fun to play. Maybe if Dark Elves can also use slaves like Skavenslaves I’d play them more.

Yeah, I noticed that too. As soon as he increased their number the balance of power changed drastically in his favor. A bit weird.

@@Moritz19081980 The reason for it is that the autoresolve mechanic does not take into consideration what kind of unit is summoned via the Menace Below, but rather the amount of additional units at your disposal. It therefore calculates that in this case the Skaven army vastly outnumbers the DE monsters stack, since the latter consists mostly of single entitity units.

@@vahlen5281 I guess. But autoresolve usually does take unit quality into account. Probably just not with Menace Below. It's just generally a weird, half-baked feature.

But they aint? The ai struggle because the ai sucks but pvp weapons teams suck because theyre easy to overwhelm and fly into

@@russell6075 I think most people here are playing campaign(including me) and skaven have fun cool mechanics to play with in campaign probably not in pvp.

In player hands? maybe. AI? No, but they can grow fast.

@@sympunny8636 I said warlock MASTER not warlock engineer. I also rectuit an engineer, but they need upgrades in order to cast warpgale.

Grey seers are way better, for howling warpgale just use a warlock engineer.

@@totetoresano I already have 4 plague priests able to do what the grey seer can do. Engineers however can't get a mount and have warpgale auto unlocked. When there's a lot of flying I can bait with the master, gale them as soon as they enter rattling range, gale them with the engineer when the master is on cooldown and after that they should be done for. What tactical use does a grey seer serve in an army of 4 ratling, 4 jez, 4 arty, 2 mortars, 4 plague priest and an engineer?

True, they do damage to single entities but at best it is equal to the balance of power their ammo is worth, at worst they miss. Thus, it's best to keep their BOP value for the Army loss penalty against single entities.

I'm actually using one lightening cannon with 3 claws right now. It gives me the anti-monster long range and it kills towers in sieges

@@jeffvella9765 I got the point about BoP but for Weapon Teams army I see it a bit different: the only weakness of WT army is getting overwhelmed, basically if couple of enemy units reached Ratling Guns it would probably be GG. In this case I see value in using catapults to soften enemy to reduce chance of getting overwhelmed even if catapult shots don't trade very well for BoP.

@@alexeyalexandrov7583 the other issue is probably that it'd require more micro than worth. You'd need to retarget the catapults whenever the enemy gets close, because otherwise it'd hit the vermintide and make them break a lot faster. Whereas you could just put your extra micro effort into the teams that perform well in this situation and get more out of it.

@@alexeyalexandrov7583 See your point there, but that situation should never happen because your plague priests are already summoning skavenslaves to do just that job and catapults would just makes your scavenslaves die faster= slowing down your enemy less. However when shooting infantry, you can accept it because your shots are doing more damage but when shooting single entities, it is simply not justified. If you do not have plague priest for some reason and no other frontliner, then you are either doing it wrong or you are so early in the game that you have no ther choice. if it is the latter, than it is just a temporary situation and not something that makes strategic or tactical sens to use later on. Just the old fact of make do with what you have. I say this because my early game scaven start is to use food and get lvl 3 minor settlement ASAP and build catapults(6 of them) before killing everything with lvl 3 units while everyone is still with lvl 2. OP start and works all the time, Legend does not even know about it or he never used it.

you could have a second army of yourself nearby, I think they would be drawn into it even when ambushing and maybe you don't want that. Also I don't know about that leadership debuff, it's a skill of your lord, so it should be usable

Yeah i noticed that too, but he probably still gave it to legend so he could fight a difficult battle.

BoP is sometimes not really as the game show you. For example, you can't get Heroic Victory if the real BoP is not heavily against you.

It would probably wipe out all melee units and maybe even Plague priests

It would nuke all lords/heroes and monsters to death.

@@alexeyalexandrov7583 ah okay ty. but can you explain why i had a situation where it was 1v1 army and when i activate lightning strike i lost balance of power?

@@kendrickvickers2610 No idea why actually. Sometimes LS improves BoP, sometimes makes it worse. Anyway if you play battle yourself always use it

The game is fundamentally broken because of this. It barely matters what the AI has because player armies are are going to kill it with virtually no losses anyway, so the AI needs to cheat to the point where it's no longer playing the same game to present any challenge. This of course applies to all TW games, though WH2 is perhaps more cheesable than most.
