In the movie, I believe it’s implied that there wasn’t actually an earthquake and everything happening is only happening in the building itself. How else could the stairs be utterly destroyed with no other noticeable damage to the building?

The demon would have sensed someone trying to escape from a window in the apartment. Leaving that person to face the demon alone. The humans may have been trapped in that apartment building, but I am sure the demon could've left at any moment it wanted to.

I don’t think there is a proper way to actually end them. This version of the book releases Deadites that can’t be completely eliminated, no matter what. I think the one way they eventually returned to the Book was because there was no one left to possess once every human being around them was dead. According to the priest who released them, nothing except running away will save you.

I've always wondered what it would be like if a desdite was nice or at least neutral to humans. How would they function? I mean, I can imagine a neutral one being still sadistic but not outright malicious.

loved the movie, though everyone focused on the marauder and the college girl from the first scene that they forget that everyone else the mom killed were still infected by deadites. So, like, there were still four demon zombies on that floor basically unmolested with the ability to get down to every subsequent floor and the city beyond as desired. Might or might not take work but even if they decided not to just jump down the broken stairs (why would they care about broken legs?) they could just break open the apartment to the fire escape. They do have their hosts' memories after all. Basically, that world is fucked even without the second possession.

If going by army of darkness logic, then they can basically be full skeletons and still function, then going by evil dead 2 AND Ash vs evil dead you can straight up hack them apart and they still keep going (Ash's hand and GF being a good example)... It seems your only real hope is to know the words to send them back, or have some salt circles (they use salt circles for that demon in AVED, but it was a special sign... but it should be in the book right? but that would require the ability to read it) ... so it seems back tracking to "real hope", your actual real hope would be waiting for the chosen one to save you (doubtful cause no matter what... people die around Ash), that is if you can't go back in time and stop dipshit from reading the book.... cause really the demons are free now and will keep causing chaos and what not... doubt this is just over for them sadly haha

17:49 actually, while it's a bit inconsistent, Deadites have some pretty serious regenerative abilities. For example, Ash's severed hand was able to grow an entire Deadite copy of him from itself. Deadites can also cause tissue growth to do things such as increase a body's fat mass to gunk up a chainsaw, elongate a neck to a python-like length, or sprout wings. In all, they can most likely regenerate severe damage in canon, but overt displays are a bit sparse, and even then it's not as though they need the host body to survive as they can just possess some other cadaver if they deem reforming their current mech to be more trouble than it's worth. Plus, having a totally obliterated skeletal system may work to the Deadite's advantage given their levels of body control and how brutally creative they are. They could probably use bone fragment's from the possessed body as some form of projectile

I've noticed a lot of survival content is pretty "default" human (young adult male) centric. It'd be really interesting to see a series focused on "How to survive as x/y character". Could cover women, children, etc. and provide a more interesting scenario given the additional handicaps. I'm aware some of Nerd's fantastic videos already fall into this category where children or others are part of the plot, but it'd be interesting to see how far this video premise could go.

18:42 Good question Nerd, I personally would just incinerate the book and vinyls, take out the very things that allowed the demons to rise to begin with. However, I assume by doing that I probably wouldn't gain any insight on how to properly take them out, it's a coin toss but my instincts say take out the book. And if that doesn't work, just either yeet them out the window or myself!

Fun facts is kind and kind of an army of darkness sequel. Because in the timeline or Ash goes back in time the necronomicon exmortus is left in the hands of the Catholic Church. So that could explain where the book came from which would make this a to lose sequel to army of darkness
