Gotta admit I was not expecting a 12 year old to be doing a better job then flcking 90% of horror movie protags

This kid just shows how much a protagonist can push his luck

Cole really doing ten times better than any other horror movie victim.

Literally the first gunshot inside the house should have caused even more police to arrive due to a concerned citizen. In which the police would have gone to check on the empty squad car

When I was a kid I was so much of a snitch I would’ve called my parents the moment uninvited people showed up

cole was shockingly smart in the movie to be fair

I enjoyed this movie - the sequel… not so much but I did like how goofy it was at points. The killers motivation in 2 just seemed out of nowhere even though it was explained but still.

This movie really shows what happens when you have a smart protagonists versus a bunch of psycho cult members with no real plot armor.

Why is this child so much better then any other 20yr old in other movies

As soon as I saw this, I was wondering how you were gonna roast the kid. I like max, even though he was evil he was cool. 19:43 made so much sense it funny. Also, even though nerd is wrong about the book, that sounds extremely logical.

I always read her doing it before as meaning it restored her youth once before, and now it was time to re-up

Gotta tell ya, I'm pretty impressed with Cole. It sucks that the cops crashed his speech check, he might have been able to escape right there.

To be fair, this kid did WAY better than most characters in horror movies. His mistakes were mostly not doing a second thing that would have helped him when doing another, in other words, tunnel vision. Too focused in getting away when being completely surrounded by murderers, that he didn't think of picking up the gun of the dead officer. A big mistake, no doubt, but a perfectly understandable one. And others were mainly neivete from a kid that simply can't know better so young and inexperienced. His big stupid mistake was using himself as a distraction and returning to the house, which... Well, let's be real here, he got the push to do it from having the pretty neighbour girl there in danger. He's a young boy after all, he probably wanted to look good in front of her even in that situation. And using the car like that was kind of a stupid mistake, but to be honest, at that point his adrenaline was so high that most people would ahve tried to run her over once they got in that car, instead of hiding inside, and running away wasn't that good of an idea since she was armed. Overall, this kid did amazing!

I think we all thought this was our babysitters pass time. Especially the ones with eyeshadow 😂

Definitely one of my favourite horror-comedies, the sequel wasn't too bad but not as god as the first. Cole did pretty good for his age though, must have been fun to film too.

fact: a 12 year old kid defeat f0cking killer group but a normal grown up charcater in a horror movie is alot weaker than a feather

A good excuse for trying to get out is investigating a sound outside and not wanting to get in trouble for being up that late. Also by showing the pocket knife and saying something like I need protection because a 12 year old is going to be scared. This might work because they established his innocence.

Literally mentioned this a few minutes ago while perusing the playlist. Now to wait for the sequel to get some love here. No lie though, this was a fun commentary to one of the best comedy movies in 2017.

Be honest- if Samara Weaving was your babysitter growing up and you were a straight dude you wouldn’t be like “yeah I think 12 years old I don’t need a babysitter anymore” no matter what kind of social rep at school you are potentially risking

You missed diving down the attic feet first against big man's heads. Even 100 lbs with extra force, (like pushing against the ceiling or the same thing with a reverse grip with the opening) that man wont be getting up anytime soon. If your lucky and break his neck, never.

You all do realize the actress playing the dudes neighbor or whoever the little slapper was is the same grown up villan in the sequel.

Love this movie and Cole did a pretty good job for his age.

the logical escape plan is to wait like he said and then run away asap after calling cops. if i was the main character then i wouldnt do nothing. they cant do shit to me im the main character i have plot armour so i can just sit on my bed. they try to shoot me, the gun jams, they point it at the friend the gun is unjammed. if they try to get me with a knife, the knife breaks or they miss. if they try to punch me that aint gonna do shit. i have plot aromour so all that is gonna do is knock me out.

I love both this film and its sequel (mainly because I have the hots for Sonya's actress) but you're absolutely right, if I was in Cole's situation, I would've hung around in my bedroom until the police arrived. Then I would've snuck out my window and run off to a few neighbors for help
