Hi!! I live in Limpopo and I'm a single parent and poultry farmer. But I want to be a nurse. Please help me on were I can start with my journey and what could work for me. I'm in a rural area and there isn't really any nursing College here. I recently trained ukuthwasa. And I've realised my passion for working with people but I want to incorporate modern medical practicea.
Very informative thanks alot, so what if you were doing maths and science stream but you didn't not pass them at matric but you managed to add college subjects to get your matric certificate. Can one take the chance to apply
Hello New SUBSCRIBER 💃🏽 I enjoyed this video very straight forward and informative. Am in my 30s and 20s at heart 😜 I Really wanna get into Nursing my grade 12 results aren’t great at all. From watching previous nursing videos it seems like I still have a chance but I do not have Life Sciences as part of my subject, without it do you think I stand a chance?
Hello, Thanks for subscribing 🙏🏾. All you need is level 4 (at least>50%) in Physical sciences OR Life sciences, Mathematics OR Maths Literary, English and other First additional language. Goodluck Future R/N😀
Hi bhuti, a bit of a correction ne🤭The 3 year Nursing diploma produces Registered General Nurses who wear maroon distinguishing devices, they may study further to do their postgraduate programmes and even specialize.
Higher Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing - One year. Bachelor Degree in Nursing Sciences - Four years. Diploma in Nursing - Three years. Post-graduate Advanced Diploma in Nursing - One year. NB:only R/Ns(Professional nurses) can wear meroon distinguishing devices
@@rnkabelosadike9073 3 year Diploma is equivalent to the phased out(legacy) ie Staff nurse plus bridging , after bridging they got their meroon euppuelets...
hey Kabza, can you please tell me which institution do you recommend for my little sister to study in right now after matric because i have read that the institution has to be registered with SANC, so which one did you go to?
Yeah you can but it would be a good idea to take life science as a better chance to be accepted into university because life science covers human anatomy, core base of medicine basically😊
1.Hi, how long does is take a RN to become CRNA?. 2. if your taking a path of starting from auxillary to staff nurse ,then to Registered nurse. How long will it take you?
Ndaa VhoNdamulelo...In South Africa, anesthesia is only administered by medical practitioners, which is in line with their scope of practice. The practice has never been in line with South African nursing practice. 2. To become a registered nurse takes 4years of study and 1 year of community services (similar to internship). The legacy qualifications has been discontinued.
Ola Kabza i would like to know if what am I supposed to do because I really want to make nursing as my career, it's unfortunate that I didn't do mathematics, physical sciences & life sciences at school, but on the other hand I developed my interest in nursing after I've obtained my qualification which is not related on nursing. This year am about to be 28 years old but I'm thinking about to make whatever it takes to pursue nursing as my favourite career. I don't know if it would be possible.
it's possible, especially if you have a matric certificate, if you've done good in your matric certificate for ENGLISH then we'll done. now moving on to MATHEMATICS- since you've never did pure maths you should consider doing an upgrade, an upgrade is like a repeat of matric but while you're doing your upgrade you can only focus on specific subjects that are required by your career. so if your want to go into nursing you should complete an upgrade which takes about 1 year and you should choose the subjects that you need for nursing, which are pure maths, life science or physical science. I recommend you focus on maths and life science (for nursing) after completing your upgrade which takes a year you can apply to university to study nursing. or you can do a bridging course for nursing (a bridging course is starting from a certificate to a diploma to a degree in nursing) a bridging course is considered for people who achieved bad marks in their final year of study. goodluck you can become a NURSE 👌🏽
Hello☺️, look as an R/n having midwifery you can choose to work in maternity, and with experience you can solidify your placement but if you want to earn more and attract job offers and better salary, you’ll have to study advanced midwifery as your speciality
Hello Mariama, according to the new curriculum you need All mentioned subject, there’s nolonger Legacy qualifications where one would go through the ranks to become an R/N.
Hi so I got a diploma and have maths-1 Physics-2 Life science-3 Are there any bridging course in south Africa for me to take and if u can explain it to me (in colleges) Can i get into axillary nursing lowest rank?
