AHPRA Application and NCLEX preparation should be done simultaneously ideally to save time. The time to complete the process depends upon how quickly you are able to pass exams. On an average it can take from 6 months to 12 months depending upon how quickly you pass.

Hi Samuel, Diploma of Nursing is not considered a valid qualification for direct nursing registration in Australia. You will have to upgrade your qualification to bachelors level and then apply for the OBA pathway

Hi mam, I have an eligibility to write NCLEX exam from canada. But I want to write after registration from Australia so that way my nursing education requirements is met. So once I appear the exam how can we transfer the results to CNO. And thank you so much for the detailed video. I ll apply for it soon. Will wait for your answer. Hi, Once you pass NCLEX you can transfer it to your desired state board. You need to check first the procedure with your state board. You dont have to appear for OSCE if you dont wish to proceed with Australian registration once you pass NCLEX.

Hi Mam, Question , While I am here in Australia and once I clear all tests and then at stage where we have to send all the documents including good standing certificate. Are we able to obtain good standing certificate from india while we are in Australia or is there an option for either attaching registration certificate or good standing certificate. As I could not see a way where I can apply for good standing certificate online and receive it on my mail. We have to book an appointment to hand over all documents to state medical council to get the certificate in india. Is it very compulsory to attach this document ? Or we can attach just our nursing registration certificate as this is also mentioned in APHRA website. Could you please guide if I am wrong or less information ??

Hi You dont need good standing certificate initially while applying to AHPRA. You only need it at the last stage at the time of registration after passing OSCE. Most of the nursing councils in India have online application portal to apply for the same. If you council does not have , then provide an authorisation to your family member in India and they can do the formalities in your behalf. Hope this helps. Hi Ginnu, An experience certificate is a generic document which should mention your hours of work per week and your designation. The Good standing certificate format will be unique to your parent nursing council and when you request it, they will issue to for you.

Hii Mam you explained very well. But just few days before i did my self check. I am masters in Mental health. I put my qualification directly as Masters in Nursing in the primary qualification column as it was not specified as primary . So in my IQNM process they didnt assigned me any stream anf i Got next steps to be advised. Can you please tell me what can i do. Or they will themselves ask me to provide Bsc nursing documents.

Please I need advice. I applied for the ahpra and all required documents uploaded. I got a mail from ahpra today to upload my degree certificate and not notification of result. I have called my school in respect of that and I was told that the certificate is not yet ready and they don’t know when it will be Ahpra gave me till 26 of this month to upload or the registration will be terminated. If you have done a NMBA approved bachelor of nursing in Australia you dont have to appear in NCLEX and OSCE as the course leads to registration

After you submit the documents at portfolio stage, AHPRA will give you a go ahead to pay for your NCLEX test and then issue you a ATT number. Thanks

How many months or year experience is needed to show in case we’ve cleared the exam? 1 more thing is…we need to show work experience of hospitals after completing our BSC in Nursing or to show clinical hours we have attended while our course period?

Hi Harleen, if you are able to pass the OBA examinations, even if you do not have experience you will meet the recency of practice standard. In simple words, experience does not matter provided you have passed the full OBA assessment. But if u have experience, that's great as AHPRA accepts any kind of experience as RN. Clinical placement hours completed during your nursing training in not considered

Hi, As explained in the video there is no program that you have to undergo to get your Australian registration. The new system is called OBA and you have to pass NCLEX and OSCE exam and afterwards submit the OET results.
