It's a nice discussion..but from PM to scrum? . What I tink PM will have more responsibility then CSM..like budgeting..communicate with high-level management stack holders..and so on..so what is the hierarchy that in general IT industry is following right now..Agile scrum, Agile coach- Kanban, SAFe, a part from this Agile Project management.. It is a misconception that there is a hierarchy in Agile. It is important to understand that being a Scrum Master does not automatically lead to becoming an Agile coach after a certain number of years. let me provide an analogy: in a cricket team, all players work together as a team regardless of their years of experience. While one member may become the captain, they are still a part of the team. As these players gain experience, they improve their techniques and mature over time. Initially, they may display aggression, hitting sixes but getting out quickly. But, as they mature, they understand the importance of spending time on the ground and playing strategically. When their playing careers end, some may choose to become team coaches, but it is not mandatory. Similarly, when someone is a Scrum Master, they will remain a Scrum Master for their entire career. Transitioning from a Scrum Master to an Agile coach is similar to moving from a developer to a Scrum Master or from a developer to an architect. There are differences in roles, and while the transition from a Scrum Master to an Agile coach may be somewhat easier, it is still a distinct role.
