I feel Nietzsche is expressing his disgust with the spectator that never breaks the moral code in society and elects to watch instead of take action. We are afraid to put ourselves out there as other's might criticize us otherwise. Just my two cents.
Large Taint hey, this quote is not actually written by Nietzsche. It is not found in anything he published or wrote. It has just been attributed to him in recent years because it carries more weight that way. It’s actually an excerpt from Anne Louise Germaine de Staël’s “German” and is an illustration of how she was temporarily alienated from the normal rush of living, and the actions of those around her seemed purposeless and absurd. I just saw the comment and thought I’d respond as I have looked into this myself previously.
@Large Taint I think this would have to to do with the people who live solely an apollonian life(a life of balance and stoicism per se) but critisize and see with disgust anyone who also enjoys a bit of the dionysian life (a life full of ecstasy, drunkenness, orgies, etc). Both extremes are bad, their should be a balance of both. He explains this in his book "birth of tragedy".
Can I say preach bro. When I was In university a few yrs ago, I loved Arthur Schopenhauer as my favourite philosopher, then Frederick Nietzsche and Blaise pascal. But now I love Frederick more, his existentialism is spot on and those who studied him learned the ultimate power. That ultimate power is to master oneself, without the enhancement and influence of others around you and in society. You see we were all programmed ever since we were children, we were always told what what to do, when to do things, what to say, when to say things. We don’t get to use the brain God gave us. The few that found self mastery, they’re the most fulfilled of this lifetime. Those who master themselves and live their own lives, they’re the most happy ones.
Daily Dose of Medicine and why I have found the same in being single. Self mastery intensifies under the microscope of a life partner. But what happens when being single is a conscious choice? Or the challenge of what if people are polite but not often ‘friendly’ or accessible in a deeper way? Check out the TedX talk on what people don’t know about being single.

It is hard to attain True Freedom in a society that constantly tells us what to do. However, I consider Nietzsche's philosophy such a valid approach for the Ones who are still able to break up their chains and be themselves. Also, I think that as long as we live in a society; we should strive for Creation because it is the Creator who sets a new kind of values for every human era. In order to become a Creator; first, we should examine ourselves and see what we firmly believe.
Thank you for this video. I have read Nietzsche throughout the years and gained a deep understanding of myself in the process. This is such an interesting and palatable way to package his ideas. Thank you for this wonderful existential space you have created.
A sincere question for you ... the development described by N sounds marvelous for an individual on a desert island, but what if one’s new values are sociopathic, or even murderous and torturous? How does N guide the full realization of the individual Ubermensch in relationship to others, whether Ubermensch or unrealized? Did he unwittingly take for granted that the new self-realization would, in effect, be made up of many of the dragon’s values common to the Judeo-Christian society into which he had been born? I’m wondering about a practical application of his ideas . Looking forward to an answer, thanks
I became tired of being like the camel and became like the lion, I had to make some changes in my life, I left a good paying career because I felt I was compromising my integrity and I finally became an Uber man, but then Things didn’t work out as I hoped so I needed another job and now I’m an uber driver And I hate it even more than my previous career, working for Uber really sucks, it’s super long hours if you really want to make enough of a living wage, theirs no benefits or retirement plan, and you have to deal with all kinds of shitty people 😐

Yeah, I'm re-reading Nietzche. What first struck me on the first reading was this false worlds behind worlds idea, like what you see is what you get. The other was women are shallow warm seas, whereas men are deep oceans. It rather reflects another of my childhood interests - Dune. Anyway, that aside, I'm now trying to get a grip on the ubermensch thing. I must say, only being into the prologue of Thus Spoke Zarathrustra at the moment, this "blink" thing certainly resonates. My real problem with philosophers like Nietzche is they live in a protected environment; I'd like to see a philosophy coming out of Stalingrad or a holocaust camp. It's all well and good theorising about the human condition when you're well fed and provided for, one reason I like Dostoevsky and Hamsun.
“Sacred yes” more like a selfish me me me. Let’s be real here. Every “child” in the world is self absorbed with its own wants. A child certainly doesn’t take care of itself. Left alone it would die.
You know God's voice, but only a few of us know it. This Satanic doctrine has justified the death of millions of people, trying to become a superhuman. What you saw in Washington a couple of days ago, was lions saying no to tradition, but instead of protecting their children, daddy lion was trying to eat them for dinner. A child without proper instructions, is a child being led toward their own demise.

This video reviewed what I neglected myself and failed to recognize oneself. Even being an adult we are today, and yet we can choose to revisit our inner childhood to determine what produces our geniuses happiness that before shall be fixed on the judgment of what is good or evil. How much I enjoyed being a child once more, who enjoyed building things with legos, explore throughout terrain environments, and on rare occasions how I write things excepting so many goofy mistakes, misspelling, and so on. Friedrich Nietzche personally experiences 3 stages and finally reached at long last his own inner child.
I am so abnsolutely glad about how this wonderful master of philosophy and mankind is now finally cherished and respected world wide. He would weep tears of joy in his shallow grave ! Greetings to you all 🙌 👏 🙏
Becoming "superhuman" involves maximizing human potential and pushing beyond ordinary limits in physical, mental, and emotional capacities. It’s not about acquiring supernatural abilities but about dedicated self-improvement and mastery over oneself. The journey begins with cultivating a growth mindset, marked by the relentless pursuit of excellence. This involves setting ambitious goals, embracing challenges, and learning from failures. Mental resilience, developed through practices like mindfulness and meditation, is essential, as it enables focus and calmness under pressure. Physical fitness is another critical aspect. A superhuman body is strong, flexible, and enduring. Regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and sufficient rest are key components. It’s about understanding your body’s limits and expanding them through consistent training. Intellectual growth is equally important. Lifelong learning, critical thinking, and creativity enhance problem-solving and innovation. Superhumans are not just physically fit but also intellectually sharp. Lastly, emotional intelligence is vital. Understanding and managing emotions, both your own and others', fosters better relationships and leadership qualities. Becoming superhuman is a holistic journey that requires dedication to mental, physical, and emotional development. It’s about unlocking and realizing the full spectrum of human potential.❤

There are a couple facts I know that are extremely taboo in Western society and which can turn you into a public enemy if you dare to mention them. One is that all adults are sexually attracted to teenagers who have hit puberty including young teens. Another is that Sub-Saharan African genetics produce much lower measurable intelligence compared to other races, which is why there are large wealth disparities and academic disparities. I want to speak about these things freely and publicly so bad. But in todays western culture, this information is so repressed and everyone is so brainwashed to hate you for knowing it.
Existential dread was my life for a long time...go out and find someone who needs to be seen, find people who you know deserve to smile more, and give them better days to whatever extent ability and situation allow. Help is other people, those suffering for meaning can help those suffering from circumstance.

Camel is a Good citizen, takes rules seriously and is a person of integrity and honor and a decent human being? And that's bad?? So how do we become lions and decide our own values and meaning, and know that our own impulsive and impermanent values are better than the Camels? How can lions set new values or know our "true" values when we are all just products of society? How do we know what is good or bad for us when we are continuously learning, changing and evolving? Just because you "want" to do something different doesn't mean it's right or correct? And how can you stand for something, have morals, principals and integrity, yet be a free sprirt at the same time? The Camel is a good template. But what if being a Camel and a lion are the same thing? Humans are impulsive. Our wants, needs and desires change all the time and are not reliable and there is no absolute truth. We are not all supressed, enlightened gurus, and we don't intuitively know the correct path. We are constantly a work in progress. Our lions don't exist

In your enlightening Nietzsche WTP video, you make effective use of the adaptive root system metaphor of a tree as it grows stronger and increases its expanse confronting underground obstacles. Descriptive, vivid, and organic are a perfect use of this metaphor. The quote "...that which does not destroy you makes you stronger.. " always conveys a hard, militaristic tone to Nietzsche which is certainly warranted for this elite Navy Seal esque, Spartan warrior philosopher that fought his way to the top with front line focus and OODA loop strikes against the cream puff "Marxist" collectivism academics to find a home at the Olympian rung next to Plato, Schopenhauer, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. Your root metaphor highlights the profound Emersonian influence of natural organic imagery that left a sublime impression on Nietzsche. Thank you for sharing your novel insights on this pioneer German philosopher leading us all away from the modern philosophic T.S. Eliot described wasteland. A wasteland terrain full of vapid, game show host like hollow men mixed in with the John Wick like assassins in the philosophy departments of the university tenure system where the truth goes to die as hollow men administrators pander to the lowest common denominator in the collective seal-like applause of virtue signaling and Orwellian levels of political correctness that have the universities and corporations fearing their own shadow. Nietzsche offers a way out of this wasteland to the leading edge with the best view of the vast horizons, blissful sunsets, and the pure austere air of the Swiss Alps. Up in the Alps where Nietzsche is found with his groundbreaking, paradigm-shifting writings, you also can experience the invigorating sensation of elite-level Navy Seal alpine mountain fighting. The mountain combat though is against Platonic shadows comprised of noisy self-confused ignorance, suffering, angst and forced fed propaganda faced in the shadows of our own mind that we all encounter on our own unique path and quest, propelled on by the relentless force of the will to power and illuminated by the brilliance of Nietzsche's light and profound truth instincts. As we take the philosophic Navy Seal hard path in our own internal root expansion, we will all find why this German savant philosopher, the heroic but "lonely" wanderer and his shadow, is fulfilling his "prophecy" in his writings reflective of the Rock of Ages prophets, to be as he foretold in these dark matrix times, "...the philosopher for the day after tomorrow."

@@M10-b8j Hm. It appears that astrology can be read at least two ways: first and most legitimate would be psychological astrology, 2nd, which is the kind of astrology that gets the most criticism (and for good reason) would be basically fortune telling or prophetic astrology. The first system is more discriptory and analytical (like learning what planets and signs signify) while the second system is essentially divination (reading into aspects and predicting when in someones life something will happen). It seems like Nietzsche knew about the system, but criticized its common usage by people who sought to profit from soothsaying. Although I am not an expert on Nietzsche by any means.
