Yuppppppp Got a long term on hard mode and I just can't seem to deal with the Grox (due to health issues and disability these kind of hard mode games are more difficult for me.. yay 😅😅) This trick means I can still yeet into the center and stuff with my save!

It's pretty easy to destroy the Grox, it just takes a very long time and honestly is a completely waste of time doing it.

The ship stays invincible after buying a Health upgrade :D

It's possible to drive past the Grox faster than the pursuing fleet can chase us as long as we have enough Energy Packs for the speedrun. Getting the Energy Packs thankfully doesn't take too long to get compared to the slow out of Energy flying as the Ghost Ship :)

You can change philosophies and get a different archetype ability in Space Stage to get the Return Ticket :)

It should still fly at normal speed when the ghost ship has energy. And as the ghost ship we can buy more energy and that will make the ship fly normal speed again until it runs out :)

Hmm, interesting I didn't think to try accessing the Sporepedia while working on this glitch. I'll see if there's a workaround :)

That's interesting! I tried it but couldn't get it to work, using the Return Ticket even when loading out of a planet kept the ship on the planet. When are you using Return Ticket while exiting a planet? And what version of the game are you running?

I still have a lot of fun playing Spore but likely because I grew up with it. It's available on Steam :)

Hmm, try saving (pressing S) and left clicking at the same exact time, then slowly adding delay in the click time on the next retries. The left click needs to be just slightly after, maybe like just a few frames, after pressing S to save. There's a bit of a rhythm to it when you get it consistently. I also play on an SSD with a fairly good computer so I don't think that will affect it. If you are familiar with the Control, Alt, Delete glitch used in some of my other videos, that has been found to be affected by increasing the Lighting Quality option will make that take longer, maybe messing with those settings could help but not sure if that affects this glitch. Keep trying, I'm sure you'll get it! :D

@@bionic1matt A year late, but I had the same problem, I solved it by saving as my ship was destroyed by enemies while in their territory. Keep saving as they get your health close to zero and eventually you'll get destroyed basically as soon as you load into the game, thats when I snuck a save in.
