Thank you for this interview! I was fortunate enough to see the show on Broadway a couple years ago and it still sticks with me, particularly the Severus Snape scenes, as he's forever my favorite literary character. His complexity and many layers are endlessly fascinating and it's lovely to hear David Annen talk about the process of playing him on stage.
This is a fantastic interview and character analysis of Severus Snape. I was so lucky to be able to see Cursed Child in London for the first time in 2022. I went to see the production as a graduate from my theatre program. I am a big fan of David Annen’s work and to see him on stage as our daring professor was exciting. I was extremely in shock seeing Snape on stage and his performance throughout the show. David really took the stage by storm, and his version of Snape was everything. I even cried during the production. Not only is David Annen getting a character analysis for Snape but also recently Steven Sutcliffe (Toronto) for his performance in Cursed child! I’m so excited and hoping to see Stephen Spinella (Broadway), and David Ross Paterson (Melbourne) on their intake on Snape. Sending Love to the cast and Crew of Cursed Child West End! ❤️❤️
Thank you i love this character severus snape one of my favorites i also love some of his scenes i am so happy that J.K.Rowling did such an amazing work i love Harry too much And my favorite book and severus snape has some fab parts🥰
I've watched it on March 2020 in London... Snape always makes me cry, in any version, really... But, I've noticed that the wand he showed us, is not available anywhere in the world to buy...😢
You probably can't buy it anywhere because it isn't Snape's 'official' wand. In the original series, he has a black wand with little carvings in its handle.
