I congratulate you, excellent video, very easy to understand how the MAF sensor works and the tests. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Greetings from Costa Rica .
YOU HAVE DONE GOOD JOB TO MANY OF THE GENERAL MECHANIC OR TECHNICIAN OUT THERE TO UNDERTAND FUNCTIONS OF THE (MAF SENSOR) WORKING PRINCIPLE AND VOLTAGE/CURRENT CHANGE VALUE WHEN AIR FLOW INTO PIPING SYSTEM WHEN SUCTIONS WAS HAPPENING.
I don't understand what the point of the leak test is. It reduces the airflow where the MAF is - but the MAF has already responded (or not responded on the broken one) to changes in the airflow. What is this extra test adding? Thanks for the video.
Hello there. When my maf sensor holds air, the values stay the same. but the values change when the hot weather takes hold. in this case is my maf sensor faulty?
Your MAF sensor has a high internal resistance..But on idle if the signal is about 1.4 to 1.6 volt and will increase with high rpm , i think it should be okey.
Quick question do you know which pin on Mazda 5 pin sensor is the signal wire form the mass sensor to ecu am having big issues finding information on the Internet is like that information not on the Internet
I think it the same with toyota (5 pin sensor)...check in the beginning of the video for the diagram @ 0:31 to 0:41, (pin 2,3,4,5 goes to ecu and pin 1 to +12 volt)..
@@jlsetnuper Ok so do u know which pin is the signal wire that send the signal to the ecu for injection timing that the pin I can find the color cord for with Mazda sensor one its the ZL01 sensor I can't find any data on the sensor to identify the pins connection to identify the signal wire that the one signal I need to cut to add a enhancer to
@@danielchatrie6614 sorry for the late reply..been very busy ...In toyota MAF sensor it is the pin 3(pos) and pin 2(neg) that send signal to ecu that change voltage when air flow chages and pin 4 and pin 5 that send signal to ecu for intake air temp ..Im not sure in Mazda maf sensor , but try to back probe your sensor to those pins. On pin 3 , you can see a change in voltage from idle and when you rev the engine..
@@jlsetnuper the maf sensor of my car is so hard to fine. That's why i decided to by pass it instead of buying new one. Well, i just bypassed it miraculously 4 days ago, by myself. Good thing my car works well now.
The only problem is that, the wiring changes from model to model. Most of these sensors are propriety products and hard to find any information, included the wiring. Not much use fore this video.
