In this video I want to show you the standard version of this drill - and what to focus on when you really want to benefit from it. I am aware that there are are many other versions of it; please comment below and help me learn more on how we all can improve from this one even more. Thanks a lot!

From Bert Kinister's video, I do the version with 4 object balls in the X and the cue ball in the center, the idea is to knock all 4 object balls in without contacting a rail or another ball, and once you get it down you can stop on the 4th ball in the rack and set them up again and go continuously, if you hit a rail or another ball your run stops .

Another great shot to practice is the drag shot. You can try to perform this similar to the stop shot and follow, with the X drill. I am also going to apply avery hole stickers to replace the balls at their location. This will help in better determining where my cue ball ended up (left, right, back, and forward). I'm a new subscriber and really enjoy your channel! 👍

Nice stop shot..btw how do you find your head position or your vision center..any tip sir

Puuh! Difficult question! I have a strong right eye, so my head is not centered over the cue. Albin Ouschan for example is heavily left eyed, and his head therefore is way off center. Unfortunately I have no answer to this, but I will dig deeper into it and ask some Pros! Maybe I can do a video about it then!

I have a routine that gets me "oriented" to my vision center and gives me confidence that I'm actually sighting down a straight line. Setup is a bit tedious but it works for me and has also helped others who were struggling. Let me know if you're interested in details.

Awesome drill for sure. Just wondering have you looked for some type of chalk holder for the Taom chalk? I've been looking, just have'nt really found anything I like....suggestions?

Hi! Good question - not really! But there are these little bags where you can put your chalk when walking around or shooting - like the Snooker players use them. Saw it with Kelly Fisher on RU-vid recently. These are little leather bags you can clip on your pants. Easy to use, small. Just don‘t know the name of it

This drill I also use a two rail system after pocketing the ball. Cue ball can not touch another ball.

@@pocketedyoutube set up the mighty x drill as usual except placing the cue ball in the center of the table. Four balls in the standard positions. Usually when facing the table from the spot I'll put the 1 ball second to the left, 3 ball second Diamond to the right. Then from the head string looking towards the spot 2 ball second Diamond to the left, then 4 ball to the right the second Diamond. Cue ball in the center of the table. Shoot the balls in numerical order. One ball with cue ball center of the table. Usually the one ball can be made by drawing the cue back or follow. Shoot all balls in order using one rail or two for position on the next ball. Drill continues to run in order till you miss. If you miss just start over.....
