Will this method work the same on a Spektrum DX6i?

Great video of things you must know for brushless quads. At 7:15 You should try re-calibrating the sticks first. I have the orig DX9 and it was off a little too and just re-calibrated it and now sticks all center exactly at 1500 ;-) Also on the brushless Eachine EX105 and other quads like the EX110 using the same blue Eachine F3 FCB with DSM2 RX on top of the FCB, the Cleanflight CLI bind command is: set spektrum_sat_bind=3 *using a 3, not 5 (or 9)* as I read several people say it was. It will bind in DSMX too and all four modes using either 5 or 9 but the RX mapping will be off as if you didn't pick the correct provider (TAER1234) and that threw me off for hours trying to figure out the problem searching the Internet. It will also bind with a space added on each side of the = sign @: set spektrum_sat_bind = 9 or 5 for some reason and have the same mapping issues. I tried 3 because the CLI status showed I2C error: 3, and kicking the cat failed to fix it and I was running out of logical options... ;-) Then knowing what to look for Google found the chart on bithub that says 3 is for DSM2 @ 1024bit/22ms which is what the TX said binding... so simple unless you don't know.

I was just wanting to plug in the batteery and fly, I'm not trying to do drone racing on any scale. So eachine and all other manufactuers can kiss my grits, lol. But you guys are great. Just Asking because everybody is telling the set the travel to 147 for everthing but for most of them for me to get very close to the 1000 to 2000 setting my travel on the radio is 150 the max for the radio.

Re a brushed micro quad with DSM Rx - aux1 is arm, aux2 is alt, aux3 level and aux4 is horizon mode. Which switches on my Dx9 do I use for this to set and change flight mode? ( got it bound and arming ok but goes wild after takeoff)

When I hooked my EX110 to the computer, I did NOT get a rapid blue light to bind. I get a solid blue light and a slow blinking red light. It will then not bind to my DX6. It is the DSM2 receiver, so I am lost what to do now.

please help I just received a qx90c from a friend and when I go into the clean flight configuration it wants me to update firmware on fc. I see on the board the word boot but tried every pad every metal thing close to the worst boot but no luck. could you show me the location of the boot pads.

Hey can anyone help me? I have a non-built in receiver but same technique as this. I bound my transmitter to it just fine, but in Cleanflight none of the movements (pitch, roll, throttle, etc.) are responding. Everything is staying where it is. I think this may be a bad solder joint or possibly because I used a wire that wasn't meant for this for that pin. Thanks

I have the Eachine assassin 180. Is it the same binding. I had a friend of a friend replace receiver and bind to my Spektrum using cleanflight, but I think I reset it and completely messed it up. Still binding, but can’t get throttle going. Is there a quick fix or do I need to restart with cleanflight?

Goebish Multi-protocol caveats : I would like to present my findings and explanation of a number of key-points in the procedures which have kept me in the dark for quite soem time. These are not comments on anyone merely additional information to try and help others help them achieve a succesful project. I used a standard RC 'rx' with PPM output. The PPM is then fed into the Arduino. I used a chinese UNO clone which performs well. I also used a nrfl24L01-long distance, powered by a seperate stepdown(buck) to ~3Volts. This to be sure I have enough amps for operating stability. 1. I found the wording for the 'bind'-procedure on the goebish' github site quite inaccurate. I am an RC airplane user and ELEVATOR-UP to me means pulling the stick backwards. When the 'binding'-procedure says ELEVATOR-UP, it means elevator-STICK in the UPPER POSITION. (duh) 2. I think it is important to understand how you have to TEACH the Arduino which protocol to use to 'talk' to/with the quadcopter. (This procedure is inaccurately referred to by almost all on the internet as 'Binding the quadcopter') Switch on the Transmitter and in my case also the Receiver. After power up and binding of the TX and RX, hold the desired protocol-stick-positions on the TX. While holding the sticks in the intended position, power on the Arduino and hold the sticks for a few seconds more until the Arduino is fully started. The Arduino now understands which protocol to use to talk to the quad and you can let go of the sticks. 3. Spektrum caveats: I used a Spektrum (older) DX6i and a Spektrum DX8i Be aware of the following: When teaching the Arduino which protocol to use, the key thing is that it needs 'pure' input. By 'pure input' I mean that ALL other TX/RX channel signal-values must be LOW ( TAER Incorrect #define SPEKTRUM // AETR, 1100-1900, AIL & RUD reversed // PPM stream settings #define CHANNELS 6 // number of channels in ppm stream, 12 ideally //--> WORKS! //#define CHANNELS 12 // number of channels in ppm stream, 12 ideally enum chan_order{ //-- Original MODE 1 -- //THROTTLE, //AILERON, //ELEVATOR, //RUDDER, //-- Original MODE 1 -- //--Spektrum MODE 2 and 4 AILERON, ELEVATOR, THROTTLE, RUDDER, //--Spektrum MODE 2 and 4 //AUX8, // (CH12) Reset / Rebind AUX8, // Reset / Rebind - Changed: Now to CH5 (position 5 in the list) AUX1, // (CH5) led light, or 3 pos. rate on CX-10, H7, or inverted flight on H101 AUX2, // (CH6) flip control AUX3, // (CH7) still camera (snapshot) AUX4, // (CH8) video camera AUX5, // (CH9) headless AUX6, // (CH10) calibrate Y (V2x2), pitch trim (H7), RTH (Bayang, H20), 360deg flip mode (H8-3D, H22) AUX7, // (CH11) calibrate X (V2x2), roll trim (H7) }; 6. Tip: With the H8-mini quad it is often that a low-rate and a highrate is used. When using the low-rate, it is not possible to give values HIGH enough to set the Arduino's protocol. Switching to HIGH rate will NOT work as the Channel for HIGH-rate will now give a HIGH value as well. A 'pure'-input is not possible this way. You have to remove or raise the LOW_rate values. 6. Total Startup procedure (DX8i): Assuming step 2 has been done. Power on the quad and wit for it to go in BIND-mode. (quick flashing of the LED's) Power on the TX and RX (RX could be at the same time with the Arduino). Now press the trainer-button shortly to make the Arduino/Drone reset/rebind. The LED's should now become stable. Happy flying.
