In this video I show how to bleed/ Flush brakes by yourself or with a friend and also install stainless steel brake lines. This video covers all brakes systems including Brembo brakes that are commonly found on many sport and muscle cars including, Mustang, Camaro, Challenger and Charger. The vehicle in this video was an Evo X. My car is a 2019 Mustang GT.

Face palm moment. Either depress the brake pedal a few times to build pressure before opening to drain OR only one pump to floor of brake pedal once open. Allowing the brake pedal to lift back up when the bleeder is open allows air back into the system.

I was scratching my head seeing that as well. If the bleeder is open, it's not sucking fluid from the master cylinder. It's simply sucking what he pumped out, back in at the caliper.

One thing I’ve always taken my car to have someone else do just because I hate brake fluid so much lol Great how to vid although I agree about the point earlier about letting your master get too low, hoping no air was drawn in as it looked super low. Keep em coming Zander, great work sir! Cheers

Flair nut wrench , also referred to as a Line wrench. This is a must needed type wrench if you do your own work . Never get break fluid on paint , it will mess up paint . Also never get break fluid in your eyes , it hurts and you will run for water quick . Yes it has happened to me . BULLITT K0040

Totally wrong way to bleed the brakes. Plus you let the master go low so now you have air in the master and abs.

I’ve never seen someone pump the brakes while having the bleeder open, it’s push and hold open let them bleed then close, repeat.... and if you have the adapter that sits over the master and pressurizes the system just open up the bleed screw and watch the fluid for air bubbles and clean fluid then close and move on..... and usually it’s outside to inside on calipers like that.... farthest away to closest.....

@@michaelvasquez3911 same. The only reason to even pump and release with the valve open is if you have speed bleeders installed. I had them installed on my 240sx years ago when I did a 300xz brake upgrade and it became a one person brake job.

I was thinking the same thing lol. Push the bakes then open the bleeder. I did watch Chris fix do a solo version, similar to these guys, but it avoids air going into the system

I thought only old people got up this early. I would like to know how much better they are when all 4 are done. Just changing brake fluid makes a noticeable difference. A lot of people skip just changing their brake fluid.

Reminds me of the time when I had a Porsche and had to bleed the brakes all the time due to boiling of the brake fluid, until I found a special German fluid that could withstand the high temperatures without boiling. Those big red Brembos are really nice brakes. I just got a 2019 370Z with the sport package that has upgraded Akebono brakes that are similar looking to the Brembos. The braided stainless steel brake lines are a nice mod that I might do someday for my Z, for increased pedal feel.

What’s the name of the German brake fluid you found?

@@FullSendFabrication It was called Ate Super Blue and it also came in an amber color, for ease of flushing. At the time it was about twice as expensive as other high-end brake fluids but it was worth it to me, in obviating the need to bleed the brakes so frequently. It may not be available anymore due to some issue with DOT requirements.
