Thank you soooooo much. You just helped save me $270, which believe me I do not have. Also I feel a huge sense of pride and competence. I was crying after the oil was delivered, but now I am crying tears of joy. Thanks from a widowed mama
Very welcome I honored and happy to help im sorry for loss remember him smiling and laughing remember the 1st date and great times like that and know that someday you will see that smile that you feel In love with thoughts and prayers God Bless
THANK YOU! You made it super easy for me and my 90 year young mother to accomplish priming our oil heater! Success!! Now, I’ll work on remembering to check the gauge in time so not to run out.) I checked many other sites. You’re the winner! Many many thanks!
Thank you so much. There's really a difference between an oil guy and regular guys. Other videos I watched didn't say anything about making sure you turn on the heat before bleeding it. I would have been frustrated had i not watch your video. Thank you so much for your detail explanation.
I just want to thank you so much for posting this video I'm a father with an infant and money is tight because of covid-19 and we ran out oil last night I knew I could use diesel but didn't no how to bleed the system ... My family thanks you
Peace and Good Kevin: Thanks for the video you saved my family from a cold shower. straight to the point, you earned my subscription, kudos from Boston, Massachusetts.
Kevin this morning you saved my bacon. I woke up to a 59 degree house and my furnace blinking just like yours. In a panic I tried to reset 3 times and it would not kick on. I have never bled the fuel line before, because I'd been good about keeping our oil tank filled. I guess some air got in the line this last time I filled it. Thank you SO MUCH for this video. You're an absolute hero. A quick bleed for like, 4 seconds and 3 resets got it kicked back on!
Thank you so much from another widow, I ran out of oil and had to wait a week to get some, thank goodness it was spring. I tried your instuctions, but my furnace was newer and I had to hold the top button down for 1 minute before it did any thing. It got the job done though. Saved me a bunch of $.
Thanks so much for this simple well explained tutorial. I just did this following your step by step instructions and it worked. Had to do it 3 times but it’s working. Saved myself $225 reapair/ service call from the furnace company.
Kevin, my first youtube comment ever... thank you so much!!! We ran out of oil. The fuel delivery came, but they didn't say the pump needed to be primed. They also didn't say that they would prime the pump as a complimentary service (very nice of them). We were out for the day. So we came home to a freezing cold house and faced a $150 emergency call out fee to have the repairman come out and restart the boiler. After watching your 6 min video, it took me 2 mins to prime and restart the boiler. You're a lifesaver!
You are very welcome happy to help I have delivered oil and could not believe what they charge for a few minutes of work so I made this video to help others stay warm
Thank you so much! I was so disheartened when my now full fuel tank wasn’t producing heat; I know for a fact you saved me a ton of time and money. Thank you so much for sharing this!
50 yrs old and never had to bleed a heater before -- it was 24 degrees and I was in my garage in the middle of the night with a wrench and a heater and this. THANK YOU I wish I could give you a LOT more my dog and I thank you!
It is May 13 2022, and by watching your video, I was able to get my boiler working on my country house. Brother, thank you for posting this video, you are awesome!!
Best video out there! Been -40s ran out of fuel. Pipe burst the other day and couldn't let that happen again. Got more fuel and furnace going, many thanks from wisconsin
Your walkthrough is still so helpful after many years later - it’s so helpful that you talked about other models that might be configured differently. I never run out of oil but this has happened to my furnace once already and I was charged almost $200 after already paying to top off my tank 🤦🏼♀️. We got a dog recently who is sensitive to cold and the poor thing was shaking so we knew we had to fix it ourselves and couldn’t afford to wait for someone to come fix it for us. Your video gave us the confidence to do it ourselves and we got our heat running again! Thank you for taking the time to make this video - this has helped so many people and is so important especially during this past year when people are strapped for funds. Hope you have merry holidays!
You just taught me something new tonight & I have been bleeding my own line for about 15yrs. I was told to hold dwn the blinking button for 15sec from the start….no wonder it would shut me out from time to time🙄 This was my first time I tapped tht button once & tht oil flowed like a fountain ☺️😉Thaaaaanx!!!
You are a life saver. I bought my first home out in New Hampshire and rsn out of oil. I been trying to bleed it but getting no flow. Now i know why, i need to turn the thermostat on on each floor and i should be good to go. Thank you so much
Just wanted to thank you so much for the video.we lost power on and off for weeks after the hurricane.when it came back on we realized we had run out of oil and the company wanted to charge me 150$ for the tech to bleed and relight...you save me a bundle of money both now and in the future.i sincerely appreciate not having to take freezing cold showers or hear water to bathe.you rock!!!
Thank you for this video. I just bought my house a few months ago and I’m new to oil heat. Well I ordered oil today and when I got home the furnace was off. Turns out I ran out while away. You helped me to get it up and running again. Thank you so much.
Wow I wasn’t sure if I could do this but I was hopeful and determined. I watched this video several times and did it step by step then I DID IT!!! It worked THANK YOU best very much .
Hi, Thank you 😊. I was terrified ran out of oil. You saved me hundreds $$. I appreciate you. I was able to follow your simple conc I se directions. You made it simple and easy. Be well many blessings 2022🙏🙏
I’m a single mom with two kids and ran out of oil overnight. I got some diesel, watched this video step by step, and it worked!! We have heat again! Thank you so so much for sharing your knowledge with us. My family thanks you. 🙏🏾
I just purchased a Spirit Oil Furnace low boy for my mother's house..It has this same beckett burner and I love the system..So simple and low maintenance and has been very reliable..
Thankyou. It was so wonderful to have an accurate description of what to do and why it works the way it does. I’m getting to be an old hand with the price of oil these days.
Thank you very much. I'm a cook by trade and this is definitely not my forte. Took a bit to get the fuel flowing but we are warm again. Thank you again. Cheers from PEI CANADA.
Thank you so much for such a detailed and amazing video. I had oil delivered today, but we had to bleed our oil burner. My husband and my sons followed your video to the T and they were able to get the heat back up and running. God bless you bountifully in everything you do. You saved me $295.00.
Thanks bud! Bought my first house and got her going today by following your directions and using diesel. Started up fine and more fuels coming tomorrow. Thank you!
I have been delivering oil sence 2007 I have changed 100s to do this easy simple process I was a single dad raising 3 kids on my own and figured I could help people save money by making this video
thank you man. ive watched a number of videos and your content is keeping my family warm. i truly appreciate it. You are a Gentlemen and a Scholar my good man.
Thank you I appreciate that I made this video because I was an oil delivery driver and what they charge to do what I did in 6min is a crime so I made this video out of love for people stay warm
Thank you so much i didnt have the money to pay for this service and I dont have noone to help in these situations you are a life saver many blessing to you sir
Wonderful video! We just bought a house that uses fuel oil and the written manual didn't go into this level of detail. We got it started up easy thanks to your explanation!
Thank you sooooo much! Mom of two little kids, and I forgot to check my oil and it went out. We got a foot of snow, so the oil guy could not get here (understandably) until Monday. You are a God-send! ❤️
Thanks, Kevin from Hillsboro, NH! That really saved my butt. I knew you had to be from northern Mass from the way you talked, LOL. I'm a former Lowell resident, born and raised.
Worked exactly as you said. I believe mine was an older model. Had one single red button. Held it for about 45seconds to restart and pushed fan to manual mode
You are the best!!! Followed your directions, bada- bing bada-boom...easy! Didn't have any kind of little hose, So I improvised. An old clear baster. Took me longer to find it than it took to do the whole job. Thank you so much!!!
I had no idea how to do this, and had it done in 10 minutes. Previously I was trying to find user manuals for the pump to see if I could figure out how to do this. Thank you for making it very simple, as well as warning about the 3 button presses, as it took me 4-5 times and I had hit the button once before it attempted to bleed it.
Thank you so much. You did such an amazing job explaining the process on this video, that I did the entire process without having any issue whatsoever. I just wish that everyone doing a "Do it yourself video" would follow your example, because not everyone has the know how. I believe most of us are grateful to anyone who can do an easy to understand step by step video. This would be a great example for those doing tech videos. Anyway; thank you so much. You saved me some money that I can use for something else. . God bless you & your family my friend.
Thanks my girlfriend lives 2 hours away and needed her furnace bleed. I had not dealt with the modern furnace that you had to push and hold the button on. I walked her through the bleeder screw location but getting it to start wasn't happening. Thanks to your video she now has hot water and I'm the hero of course I gave your video credit. I actually sent it to her through a text. Thank you very much very well done
Thank you for this video. The detailed explanation walked me through the process and I got my furnace going again after I ran out of oil. The detail you mentioned about having to bleed and restart a few times was especially helpful as I there was a lot of air to bleed out and I would've just assumed that the filter was clogged if it the flame didn't take the first time.
Thanks so much for the information. Got my furnace going after running out of oil. Free speech including the transfer of information and ideas is really one of the things that makes this country great!!! God Bless America
Thank you thank you thank you! After spending so much $$$ to fill our tank you saved us the bleed fee because we did it ourselves. We didn’t do it right the first time so telling us about resetting was so helpful. 🙏
GREAT KNOWLEDGE...!!! THANK YOU.. DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID AND THE FAMILY IS BACK IN BUSINESS.. RAN OUT ON A SUNDAY!! WHICH ALSO HAPPENED TO BE THE COLDEST DAY OF THE YEAR SO FAR.. THIS WILL HOLD US OVER UNTIL OUR MONDAY FILL UP.. APPRECIATE IT!!!!!
Spectacular video, Kevin - short and to the point. Like the others commenting, I had a furnace that was blowing cold air. Found out that I had run out of heating fuel. Topped it up with 10 gals then followed this step-by-step. Worked like a charm (I had A LOT OF AIR to bleed out). This video is great for the following reasons: - Kevin's voice over is reassuring, authoritative and respectful of his non-expert audience. - It was to the point and done in about 6 mins, NO filler, all great advice - It completely demystified the "bleeding" concept, which had been over-explained by the oil company to justify a $225 "emergency visit." Kudos and have a great new year, KB!
@@2strokeguru by the way, with the massive winter storm coming tomorrow, I wouldn’t even have a service call available until late next week ... after the pipes froze, no doubt. Thanks, Kev!
@@KevinCorcoranColumn I used to deliver oil its crazy how much they charge if I wasn't talking and doing a video I could have done it less than 5min it is not right and not fair
You're the man.. I figured this out on an older Beckett furnace. I also had to do it about 9 or 10 times and was thinking something was wrong but then it started kicking in
I had done everything in the bleeding but got caught up in the race set When you said you need to wait 60 seconds I went down and tried it and it worked and I just saved myself a $160
Big thumbs up! I have that very same model and your method worked perfectly! I can't believe how easy that was and how much I saved by doing it myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Prior to watching this great video, I had no heat for several weeks because I could not figure out what was wrong with the furnace after it had ran out of fuel. I can't tell you how great it is to have heat back.
