Every bike will need the clutch and brake fluid bled at some point. The fluid can become overheated and boil or it can fail from being abused and old. This is a quick and easy way to flush your dirt bike brake fluid and clutch fluid without buying a fancy bleeding tool.

Thanks that’s very helpful. Mine just lost pressure and appears to be leaking from the cap, not thrilled!

What causes the air bubbles coming out of the two little holes in back of the clutch cover after it’s tightened

Great vid. Was wondering if there was a method similar to cars since I didn't order an overpriced syringe.

That is a great question and I feel like it could be done but I am certainly not a car guy. Enjoy the ride, Jared

At 10:00 you mentioned that you can use DOT 4 or 5 on the clutch side. You mentioned earlier either 4.0 or 5.1. By mentioning this, of course you know that you cannot use dot5 (5.0) in a 3, 4, or 5.1 system. for the clutch side. 5.0 is silicone based and will nuke master and slave cylinder seals over time.

Good Afternoon, thanks for catching that! I must of misspoke in the video. The cap on the Beta hydraulic clutch shows either DOT 4 or 5.1 but not DOT 5. I would recommend on whatever brand or model that you are working on to always follow what the writing on top of the reservoir cap wants. Thanks for watching, Jared

@@3SeasRecreation So much great info thanks for putting these vids out there. I have not watched them all (yet) but as a Beta 4T owner the only other issues I can think of at the moment is: 1. the engine case drain plugs were way too tight from the factory for an o-ring sealed bolt 2. the oil check level screw on clutch side case is useless (2019 390) as it is way too low on the case cover and represents an oil level of about 450cc. (this may have been mentioned, have not watched all yet)

Do you have a video that shows the adjustment for the thumb screw on the clutch lever?

I got a new 300rr in Nov so she sat for about 5 months. Well when I went for rear brakes there was nothing. The fluid drained out so I rode all day with no brakes. Is it common for the fluid to run out of a new pair of brakes on a beta ?
@3SeasRecreation
@3SeasRecreation 5 месяцев назад
Good Evening, NO that is absolutely not common for the fluid to drain unless the brakes are worn so far the pistons push out. No other reason other than a loose banjo bolt. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

Should the bleed screw have a seal on it when I turn it to open the fluid is coming up through the thread of the screw
@3SeasRecreation
@3SeasRecreation Год назад
Good Morning, no there are no seals between the bleed screw and the slave cylinder housing. It just means that your bleed screw is pretty turned out and the fluid is coming out that way. I don't think you need to crack the bleeder very far to get the fluid to come out where it is supposed to. Maybe 1/4 of a turn? Enjoy the ride, Jared
