After during numerous hours of research, I could not find anything on how to boot into boot menu on the Microsoft Surface 3, and every single video that I found or forum post I found it only showed having buttons at the top of the screen (Volume up and down and the power button)

Thank you!!!! After hours of youtube videos you are the only person to have the answer on what button combination brings up the UEFI menu!!!!! That never ending loop of windows logo and circling dots was driving me crazy! There were too many videos that the person resulted in dissecting the laptop to get to the motherboard because they couldn't figure out the button combination. I knew there had to be a way.

I have the same laptop, I need help to turning on my laptop because the ribbon cable got ripped off from the keyboard to the laptop

Exactly what I was looking for. For me it was F6 though. My volume is F6 not F4. But thanks!

Surface Laptop 2 was F5. Look for the volume up button, that is the key.

Protip, it isn't F4 you're looking for, it's volume up. Some models have different keyboard layouts. For example I'm working on one where Control + F6 is what does it. Just look for volume up and you're golden.
