Very helpful video. Thank you. Question; regarding the upstand inside the clay flue. If this is a coal fire below, would it not compromise the lead color inside the flue? Would it not make more sense to have the color outside the liner and seal it with lead silicon to the liner? What are your thoughts on these pros and cons? Thank you in advance.
@@slbleadworks tks for responding. Question no 2: I've made up the tray for my newly built chimney and bossed it up, it worked out very well. The chimney is built from concrete block ( to be plastered soon) how do I fold the lead for the tray before building roof rafters. eg, I had 2 template rafters up and managed to find the correct place to insert the tray. The chimney is coming up through the apex of the roof. I know that the sides of the tray will be folded up and the front and back folded down, but how do I dress the corners so as not to compromise the tray doing its job? Tks in advance.
