I used Winamp back in the day to broadcast music to a live radio audience. It was a Habbo Hotel themed radio station lol. There were several DJs on that specific website.
You can connect Winamp to play tracks added to the program, use your microphone, or use your mixer by selecting it in the "input" tab "input device" dropdown menu.
+D.J. Rockwell I'm curious if you got your DDJ to work. I have not yet found the right config to broadcast live when choosing "soundcard" as input device. Any advice?
Yes, with Radio.co you have a direct link to your online radio station. I recommend trying it out yourself with a 7 day free trial today: radio.co/pricing

From what we're aware, there shouldn't be an issue using winamp/shoutcast with Second Life, if you experience any issues, drop our support team an email at studio@radio.co.
Wondering if there is any solid/prefessional Mac OS solution for this in 2019, meanwhile? Nicecast and Butt look and feel so outdated and wrong for the job …?
Yeah, there are alternatives to Winamp, check them out: radio.co/blog/best-radio-broadcasting-software-you-should-know Got a question? Get in touch with our team at studio@radio.co.
Playout software like Winamp needs audio files on your computer. So you can't stream directly from RU-vid and through Winamp. Once you have tracks, here's how to upload and edit your media: help.radio.co/en/articles/899732-uploading-and-editing-media And if you've got any questions about starting your radio station, then reach out to us at studio@radio.co.

Winamp and the DSP plugin are old school. I wouldn't recommend them now, but if you want to get them, head to: help.radio.co/en/articles/899773-winamp-shoutcast-dsp

Guys, I have money and I want to start my own online radio station that is built into a website. I have money so it's not about cost I just physically don't know how. Thanks
Hey man. Not sure if you're still trying to do this, but I've set it up on my own website in less than an hour. I can help you out for free if you'd like...
You might be able to find a free SHOUTcast host, but I doubt it will be any good. On the flip side, you can setup and configure your own SHOUTcast server, but again, it won't be great (plus the technical hurdles). At Radio.co we make things simple. Create your station and get broadcasting in minutes: radio.co/product-tour
