For those curious, I priced this setup out at Sweetwater and it's around $860 without the laptop attachment. Expensive, yes, but nothing else on the market compares if you want a bomb-proof 3-tier stand. I'm looking at these for a heavy 88 key controller + half a dozen desktop synths + a laptop in a compact setup. Edit: I might also do this with a shelf or two instead of the SC-GEMC arms to fit some of my smaller synths (e.g. Modor NF-1m). It'd be cool if Gibraltar made these but I guess it's not that hard to glue some black marine carpeting around 3/4" plywood then screw on some hardware that I could mount up to the second and third tiers.
Great that you look into keyboard stands again! I built myself a special one some time ago. It looks great on stage. The only drawback is transportation (not too easy to fit into a bag and quite heavy). Therefore, I would be interested in what you suggest for bags.
I've been using this type of scaffolding for my drums for 30+ years from brands lile Dixon and Gibraltar (and another I can't remember). It's seriously tough and robust but heavy, and I might suggest its overkill for keyboards. It does look good and I imagine as stable in this config as it is for my drums but maybe limited to this application only. Keyboard players often need accessories like monitor stands and keyboardless modules. If Gibraltar offered some of the accessories you can find from Jaspers then I reckon this would be No1. If not, then tje Jaspers accessories will fit these tubes too (they're all 1.5" diameter).
It would be great if you had this as a preconfigured option on Sweetwater or Alto Music. Help the dealers list this as an option to simplify our ordering process.
Hi there - great video - I am looking at getting a solid 3 tier keyboard stand - which has the capability and stability to handle two 88 notes keyboards and a 76 note keyboard on the top tier. Is there an weight limit on this stand in terms of what can be put on the tiers. Thanks
This thing is Beautiful and great walkthrough by the way. Would love to try this thing out gigging and see how well it performs all night. After that the only Con is the price which is rather high, but I still like it.
@@GibraltarHardware I'm just wanting to know is it "about $300 USD" or "about $1300USD" before I talk to a salesman I'm not looking to buy today But it's ok, I'll look up the parts list and see if I can find an Australian gibralter retailer with prices online
I have a question that has nothing to do with the video. What’s the story with the Gibraltar 9707NL-UA Ultra Adjust Hi-Hat Stand? I’ve used Gibraltar Harbor since I started playing drums in the early 90s and I still have all the original hardware and I’m still using most of it in my current set up. This stand looks awesome and it looks sturdy enough, but for some reason it was discontinued by Gibraltar... Did it perform poorly or have some kind of fatal flaw? What’s the word Brent?
Justin Wilton thanks for the comment! This was discontinued because there were a lot of issues with the cable breaking. However, we are working on another version that will hopefully be available soon😃
Hemant Thaker thanks for your comment! We don’t offer this stand as a package, so all parts have to be purchased separately. Please email contact@gibraltarhardware.com for a complete parts listing.
Can I suggest memory locks for the SC-GEMC Electronic Mounting Arms too to ensure the same angles each time and to prevent slippage when rocking out. Check out the 200lb drum video to see how much of a difference it makes ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rXxGzFOECPo.html
