Nice work. It would have been good if you filled the hole at the back in with a piece of wood the same shape as the hole, instead of using 2 bits of 1x4. It would have been more difficult but it would have made the whole unit flat.

great video, would love to find those exact cabinets but the link in the description now takes you to a different cabinet now.

Looks like the cabinet is not available in Amazon anymore, I found that in Ikea and updated the link. The challenge with those cabinet was that it had holes in the back that I ended up covering with a 1x4. Apart from that having deep space is a game changer. Good Luck.

Nice job, but couldn’t you have just moved the entire wall back and made the room bigger?

@@traceymeek1238 Couldn't do that mainly because the floor of that space is 2 feet higher than the room flooring height. I thought of making a loft bed in that space, but decided to go with storage and it is helping a lot now for a growing child.
