I just bought this Ryobi Brad nailer and learned that the knob near the front of the gun can be turned to determine how much depth you want the nail to go in. And on the back of the gun there’s a power knob that I haven’t learned how to use yet lol but there is a detachable extra tip on the bottom of the clip; idk what it’s purpose is for yet 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m still learning

I can tell you are somewhat new just by watching you use the tools. But practice will make perfect and your natural sense of design more than made up for it. Best thing is effort and your project looks a million bucks. Liked/subscribed!

Wow 🤩 it looks so good. Wish I could have you do that in my home lol. The only thing I would have done differently is made that bottom of the two bookshelves (the box/stand you made) into drawers. Just to have more storage.

I have a question and a suggestion, questions first. Why didn't you mitre the fireplace so you wouldn't need the corner piece? Suggestion, paint the back boards before putting them in and things are easier.

Not sure why you didn’t create a flatter mount area for the TV. I know every set is slightly different so doing fully-recessed might be limiting, but it kinda kills the look for me.

Great work, looks sharp. The problem with the nails not fully going in has nothing to do with you. Just a diy level nail gun, could always buy a bigger battery or a higher end gun if it bugs you enough. Either way same final product, liking the channel keep it up 👍

So code allows you to cover over the bottom outlet with a permanent structure? I realize the fireplace can be removed to access the outlet but I thought the outlet had to be easily accessible?

Overall I think this looks great I did have a question though… Did you guys create a channel or corridor for you to be able to add components to the TV and keep the wires hidden like DVD player/PlayStation/wii. I would’ve thought that you would’ve definitely rig some sort of a system in the empty space behind the wall for you To run the HDMI cords For them to be retrieved on the shelving….?

@tribalm0nkey
@tribalm0nkey 2 года назад
Its seems they made it so it protrudes slight passed the book shelves by a few inches I think this was a personal preference for looks more than anything as the fire place seems to be quite flat at the back and the depth doesn’t appear to be deeper than the Unit itself so the depth of the whole unit was determined more by the depth of the shelves than anything else, if the fire place was deeper than the units than the same would apply just the opposite way around. Hope that helps
