DIY high performance longbow build secret fast no tiller bow recipes book click here amzn.to/3xl7nYn Complete guide step by step. If you've never made a bow this is for you! If you made bows but want a 200 fps fast bow this is for you! This is bow making simplified. I will teach you how to make the fastest bow you have ever made! Yes you can make your very first bow and have it shoot 200fps! Step by step how to build a 200 fps bow. Do as I teach and there is No Tillering required! Its so easy! Bow making simplified! For the detailed book written by Dave Mead with all his secret fast no tiller bow recipes click here amzn.to/3xl7nYn
Any bowyer that experiments with many styles of bows or varying degrees of one style of bow will have what some may call "recipes' '. In this book you will find several bow recipes pushing the limits of what is possible. What makes these special is 2 things really. One that they all can shoot 200 fps or more and two that they are what I like to call "No tiller recipes". No tiller means all you do is layout the bow as described following the dimensions and lamination thicknesses I provide. You then glue it up, shape the width profile to the exact dimensions I provide and wallah you have a bow. No hours spent sanding or tillering the belly or back of the limbs whatsoever. You don’t have to place it on a tiller tree and flex the limbs to see where you need to make adjustments, none of this. I can shape a bow in less than 1 hour and I will show you how. It will also cover how to make quick and easy inexpensive forms, a simple hot box, where to get materials and then how to make bow recipe #1, and more. This book is basically my secret bow cookbook filled with several speed demon fiberglass/wood/bamboo laminate bow designs that will keep you busy for months, building the fastest bows you can dream of in your own garage with simple hand tools. It has over 75 color photos and is perfect for a complete newbie, or the advanced bowyer looking to take it to the next level. This is years of my experience making fast bows in one book. It contains illustrated step by step instructions, blueprints, dimensions, secret procedures I do and as I already mentioned several fire breathing speed demon bow designs ready to be hanging in your rack on the trophy wall and showing up your buddies at the range. You can start making your very own 200 fps hunting bow right now! Roll up your sleeves and let's dig in! In this video I make bow 1 using form 1.

For the horse bow style, you mention 7.5” siyahs. Looking at your video, the tapered ends of the siyahs appear to reach the bend of the form to meet the end of the working portion of the limb (they even curl a tiny bit). Am I interpreting this correctly? If so, I am going to have to make my siyahs longer to accomplish this and still make the far bend to support the nock area. Could you please advise? Thanks!
@MeadLongbows
@MeadLongbows 2 года назад
You don't have to. But if you have extra length and room go ahead. Then all you have to do is cut it down when you take it off the form

Are the fibreglass laminations of equal thickness on both sides? And to lower the poundage, would you only decrease the thickness of the fibreglass, the timber core, or a combination of both?
@alexandrugajin763
@alexandrugajin763 Год назад
You have to experiment alot to understand the limit of a material. Basicly the thicker the core the more poundage you add to the bow but then the more stress you add on the fiberglass. Belly is compression side, back is tension. You would want carbon fiber on the belly because is more strong in compresion. Glass is stronger than carbon in tension. So you want glass on the back. You have to experiment and break many bows untill you understand what you need, how much and where. And i mean like literally intentionaly break bows, this is the only way you can achive a bow to reach it's full capability up to the point of breaking. And then you make it slightly beefier and that's it. If you make both sides fiberglass, the belly should be thicker, fiberglass is not that strong in compresion. In his design, if you want to lower the pundage, simple grind the edges of the limbs more, make them more narrow.

Thanks Dave. I made no.1 bow. Turned out great (first bow). I followed the 40# dimensions but ended up with a 53 pounds. I noticed all other recipes indicate 0.040 glass rather than 0.050 in recipe 1, could this be the reason? Thanks again, great fun. Dan
@MeadLongbows

Awesome! Variance 2 should yield in the 40lb range. Do you have a digital caliper?
@danieltroy5494
@danieltroy5494 Год назад
Hi. I do have calipers. I now think my bamboo is stiffer, 0.08 (2mm) from a laminated sheet (rather than single slats). Overall thickness is 7mm/0.27in I have more of the same material and will try to get a light bow for my son using 30mm-20mm-11mm. Super fun. Thanks again Dave for making the whole process accessible. You helped me realise the uniqueness of every bow made rather than the correctness of one way or another. 👍👍👍🙏

Hmm…don’t think you want that stuff in your eggs or veggies or ground water either mate. Think you need a room with dust suction for that phase of the process. That said. Awesome man.
