I've been designing a rear bumper for my Jeep Cherokee for the past couple of weeks. I wanted to show you guys how I model an offroad bumper like this inside fusion 360. my biggest struggle with the model was figuring out how to make a foldable flat pattern of what I've drawn. I could find any information to create a flat pattern from a solid body. after struggle for a while I came up with the method I show in this video

Curious if you have found a better way to model relief cut parts for bending? Is the solid model shelled out still your go to way to build something like this?

@@TheOffRoadCorner Hi, my son and I want to design a front bumper for his 2018 Toyota Tacoma. I am just starting fusion 360 and have a cnc plasma. How do I get the base dimensions/shape that the bumper will be matching to on the Toyota? Thanks! Love the video, very helpful!
