Today I Finish up the Water table on my DIY CNC Plasma Table. I Install a shower drain and a plastic barrel to drain the water to and connect them with 1 1/4" PVC pipe. I also plumb in an air line to lift the water from the plastic barrel to the water table. draining the table takes a little while but filling takes less than 3 mins to fill 40 gallons.
One thing that I'd like to note is that the 2 fittings on this plastic barrel were different. with the way I have the plastic mounted the bottom fitting was 2" NPT and the top looked to be 2" 10 TPI. the barrel had a cap that screwed into the barrel that had a 3/4" NPT tap into the cap. I was surprised that both holes in this barrel were not 2" NPT.
Thank you for watching!

Did you ever think to use a dimple die for the shower drain...

Try the rubber gasket in the underside of the table, you will gain another 1/8 “
