First of all the patio looks fantastic. Great job on that project. I'm researching on how to install a similar patio for myself and I thought your work was very educational. Thanks for doing this.
Really good job man. Something I would like doing in my yard. Great to involve the children. How much Sqft was that? Dont know where you from did you need to get permit? And how you determine the amount of sand needed.
Thanks brother, no permit it's in the backyard. I don't remember how much per sft but it can add up. Materials are costly. Btw great to involve this kids. Tha ks for the great comment.
Okay. Question? I’ve noticed in other videos some people put down 1) pipes, what’s the purpose of that? 2) Pavers panels, could I use paver panels if I followed your steps?
@@kizzieveals8870if I recall some people use pipes to level the sand. Using a pipe the desired height of the sand they use a piece of wood and scrap it over the pipe to level to the height of the pipe, then fill in the pipe area hole with sand. Although I’ve never built one of these I’ve seen people use paver panels with success.
Hello, Sir Can I lay slabs on dry mix cement (sharp sand and cement) then water it later to harder it, or is it better on just flattened sharp sand like you did?
This is definitely better than nothing, but in all honesty the job could’ve been done much better.I guarantee this doesn’t last two years before the pavers sink in spots.
Nice job...however its an overkill. This could be easily done with put the pavers on the about 1" of base at most, no need to dig that deep and put rock. If the grass could take the weight of the people the stones are more than enough. Unfortunately these build strategies are promoted by material selling businesses that want to sell all this stuff. How will the grass grow under the pavers anyway ...lol but no they show you need to put in weed blockers, stones, sand and pavers, ...too much overkill. Simple is better
Weeds usually grow in the cracks between the pavers. I did build similar patio pavers by just crushing the stones( Texas has lots of limestone)for the base and pouring one inch layer of multipurpose sand. I did it during peak Covid break when everything was shut down. The pavers are still holding strong. I used basically everything from my yard, like rocks, old metal bed frame to hold pavers in place, etc. i didn’t put any pavers sand nor plastic underneath.
