How to build a Rock Elemental taming trap (SEE DESCRIPTION) | ARK: Survival Evolved | Building Tips 

*ATTENTION! Turns out this trap only stops splash damage on single player for some reason. I have come up with a new design though which seems to be working based on the tests I have done on unofficial: **ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dgZJTPMveLQ.html** Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to those of you who have wasted resources on the first version.* *Also, it turns out that the hovering bird method doesn't give any splash damage so feel free to use that. As long as people stop using dino gates with pillars, ceilings and walls to block the rocks I'm happy :)*

Worked very well. Tamed at 94.5% but it was my first rock golem tame! Thank you

2 things this works perfectly fine on non dedicated servers and still gets 100% and the other thing you want to put the irrigation pipe really far back on the sloped roofs so they dont break from the cannon shots

I have a mobile trap system... paraceratherium platform saddles; put one foundation on back, place ceiling on it, go under belly, look up, place pillars from below till they reach the ground, place 'X' of ceilings on pillar bottom near ground, attach foundations to underside of ceilings - now the structure is self supporting and you can remove parts visible on top of platform, and the ceilings on the bottom platforms. now you have a ground level mobile platform to build on that also counts as a shelter (platform saddle counts as a roof, bottom pillar is a floor, surrounding platforms act as walls) if you wrap paracer's legs in metal walls it becomes INVISABLE to wild dinos unless you step on them, because it's "inside" a metal base... this is the basis of all my "Siege-Wendell" and "Trap-Darla" builds (I name all my paracers "wendell" and "darla") an armor-plated siege-wendell carrying 4 rock golems and a daeodon is a force to be reckoned with on either side of a raid battle xD this works on quetz platforms too, but you have build with it sitting on a catwalk up off the ground. since the structures will clip through the ground, you can build a "basket" you can use to carry dinos too big to carry any other way - just practice slowly swooping in and dipping the platform under the ground and swooping up to scoop them onto the platform... if your server has the unaligned base setting turned on so non tribe people and dinos won't slide off, you can use this to steal enemy dinos set to passive... wanna drown your enemies giga in the ocean? a long pillar, four platforms and some fences

Nice... I've never tamed a Rock Elemental, I'm currently playing on the new Valguero map, and the North East section is full of Rock Elementals. Easy to spot too, as they come from the only rocks without snow on them. The nearby Wyvern caves are full of Sulfur for taming. I think I may have to give it a go, with my tough as nails Argentavis to carry all the taming stuff...

Didn't work too well for me. Seems it's outdated. Rock ele broke the pipes. I eventually tamed it since it aggroed on a weird part of the trap and stopped doing anything, but still with less taming effectivenes due to splash (i was on singleplayer). Not reccomended.

MAN I was really looking for one these bad boys BUT I couldn't find one, like max level. I play on ragnarok, and I was just flying around with my snow owl then a max lv of these fellas throw a rock at me and I was totally surprised because it was near of the volcano Wyvern trench. I was totally blown away BUT thanks to your video I got this bad boy Regirock with me and tamed to lv224 THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH

You can literally do half circle of stone Dino gates and take out the middle one and his body will still be stuck and he won’t take splash
