Hiiii guysss!! I’m very much still in the New Year spirit lolol I just wanted to make a point to say that routines DO NOT need to be perfect! Some weeks we’ll follow them to a tee and some weeks will most definitely throw us curve balls!! This video is for the people who just feel a little lost in the sauce with their goals! It’s sooo easy to set goals but it’s so hard to figure out how we can execute them! I’m proud of all the work you’re putting in this year! Rooting for you ALWAYS 🫶🏾 see y’all on Sunday!!

You said something on a recent video about now being afraid of being uncomfortable so I did the unthinkable and set my alarm for 630am to get my workout in before taking my kids to school. I have a pretty ridiculous schedule as a full time night shift worker and a single mom of four so this is definitely eating into my already limited sleep about an hour but it has been a game changer in my day to day. I really didn’t think I could do it but I did and I’m loving it.

This video has given me so much energy and motivation! As someone who deals with the constant noise in my head from ADHD, I really need routines. I appreciate that you not only explained why routines are important but also walked us through your routine and how it makes you feel on a deep level. One of the reasons we don't stick to routines is because of how they make us feel. We're emotional beings, after all. Thank you for sharing your insights!

Girl, I need this bc I have no discipline, no structure for myself…just straight thuggin it on top of dealing with now diagnosed mental health issues 😭. And now that I quit my part time job and WANT to do my own thing for work and for the sake of becoming mentally well again I fr need to practice these steps 👌🏽.

It's the end of September 2023, and I am just now finally taking time to figure out and focus on myself, and who God is calling me to be after a shift in my personal life... I already have a routine but your tips just added more sprinkles on what to focus on and add when building a routine. Thank You so much! This was very insightful, helpful, and different than all other routine-building videos.

one of the things i struggle with is ROUTINE even though i knoooowwww it would help my brain tremendously by getting rid of all the extra thoughts and choices that need to be made during the day. i'm similar to you with adhd and a lot of people that have the type of mind that jumps from task to task have said that making it a muscle memory to do these small things that could be a lifestyle could open up a lot of space because you'll be doing it without realizing while worrying about what you really want to worry about. this year, i'm so serious about hammering down my priorities!! thanks for these advices c:

Hi Janet, I don’t usually comment but I wanted to tell you that I loved loved loved the med school analogy. I actually had to pause the video for a minute to let that sink in. I never thought of that… but I will try to treat all my pursuits as if they were a medical degree. I also appreciated the point on how we know ourselves best… being a teen and loving my parents so much makes me nervous about doing things they don’t do: like waking up at 4 or 5😂, but I am definitely going to try to add that to my routine and see the results.

I'm new to your channel but I love your content. Thank you for making this video. I caught covid 2 weeks before Xmas last year and then had long covid for 8 weeks after that, so I've gone into 2023 feeling flat and unable to feel the excitement and enthusiasm I normally do. I've written my goals out, made my vision board but I'm not taking any action. I feel frustrated that like you said I audio have allot going on in my head and get overwhelmed so easily then I freeze and procrastinate. My to do list is getting longer, my time is not being used productively at all. Yesterday all I did was the grocery shop and I wanted to do so much more. Cleaning and organising tasks for myself just never seem to get done. I have been needing help, looking for a routine, a system to help me.

Love!! I watch & read a lot of self-improvement content and your advice is realer and smarter because you break down a process and use what worked for you as an example rather than as the advice itself. So many people say waking up early was a game changer for them but you explain why exactly it works for you and break down how to find what would work for anyone. As for me, I recently discovered scheduling as a tool baseline lol. I've thought a lot about spacial organization and previously not invested in time management. I've been doing major trail and error in all areas of life. I'll go two weeks waking up early to stretch and eat breakfast and then one day sleep in & get out the door in 10 minutes just to notice any differences.

And babyyy the ending of the video when u said ppl aren’t as understanding and don’t deem entrepreneurship/content creation as important as careers and jobs you actually clock in. Ppl would be upset with me if I didn’t take their calls or if I said I had to call them back. 1 thing I stopped is telling ppl “oh I’m just posting pictures/videos “ when they asked what I’m doing, I started saying IM WORKING because content creation is apart of my work. My boyfriend would get mad as well if I was out of bed and he couldn’t “wake up to me”. I miss getting up at 5, I felt better..I felt like I was able to have time to myself and like I got more done.

This is the best and most honest and through video that is honestly eye opening. Being in a constant cycle of needing to make a big change and finding a routine but not knowing where to start has been .... long. I feel like it's been going on so long and this video is exactly what I needed to hear not only the words but the way you got to the point and it made so much sense. Amazing

I don’t know that you said this exactly, but the general feeling I’m getting walking away from this is “it’s ok to pursue sacrifice”

I appreciate your honesty on this topic. I relate with you. Life is absolute chaos without a daily routine and I set up a routine for my daily schedule; however, the routine does fall off in time. When setting a routine, I feel that I am not good enough and my routine is too inconvenient for others around me. I realize setting a structured routine builds confidence and stability for my daily sanity. Keep up the great work that you are doing. Thank you again. ❤🙏🏻

Hey- this is my first time watching your channel and I love your energy and your ambition- it's so uplifting and encouraging. As someone with ADHD (inattentive, diagnosed) that affects many little things in my day to day- I am drowninggg in the sauce and this video is just the boost I needed to open my planner and write out my ideal daily schedule! Looking forward to more videos girl! Thank you.

I relate with this video on so many levels, knowing that somebody out there has similar issues as I do is somewhat encouraging. I'd like to publicly put out things I wanna work on that way I'll feel uncountable. 1. I stopped uploading videos on RU-vid over a year ago because of fear of been different or failing to thrive. 2. I'm in medical school and I almost never try anything out and use medical school as an excuse 3. I've always wanted to start working out, I signed up to a gym last December I only showed up for 5 days straight never went back again 😂. Every single day I found an excuse not to go. I'm gonna listen to this video a second time and take notes this time.

Ik for a fact waking up earlier helps , I used to wake up so late feeling so rushed throughout the day cuz I had so much I wanted to do but couldn’t fit it in through the day but now that I have extended my days by waking up earlier it’s easier and calmer
