I love the way you broke a complicated topic down to an organized and easy to understand way. I'm a lot clearer on how to structure my skincare routine now. Thank you!!

Could you do more follow up videos by recommending products that contain those key ingredients for different skin types? For example , what products with retinols or glycolic acid would you recommend for dry and sensitive skin?

Excellent video! Your guidance really helps to reduce the overwhelming variety of options available for one's skincare routine. Thanks for helping to break down which products are most important.

This was the most simplified yet informative skin care video I've ever seen. I have no idea what I'm doing and every other video is just so complicated for no reason. I wish you shared some products you recommend!

Out of every video I've seen about how to build a routine this was the best!

Thanks for taking an overwhelming amount of skincare info and making it understandable! Can you provide guidance on rosacea? I’m struggling to figure out what the middle of the pyramid would be for type 1 rosacea (ivermectin, metronidazole, azelaic acid, sulfacetamide?) and I’m starting to learn about lasers but definitely need more info.

First of all, I am a big fan of your videos, my name is Reggie from Los Angeles. I am a guy, 39 years old, hispanic with a medium dark complexion (Fitzpatrick type 4 ish) dealing with signs of aging, photo damage and two big dark patches that look like melasma. I am currently using a hydrating toner followed by Azaleic Acid 15% (Fenacia gel) then a moisturizer, and then sunscreen in the morning. At night, I am using a hydrating toner again (I am currently using the I'm From rice toner) followed by tretinoin .1% (Retin-A) and finally a rich moisturizer (as of now I am using the First Aid Beauty Rich Cream Moisturizer). Finally, once a week on a night that I do not use my retinoid, Id use The Ordinary's AHA 30% peel. I would love your opinion on this little routine I came out with. So far its been working for me! Thank you. I enjoy all your videos. 😊

I have recently have been allergic reactions (rash, itching, slight swelling) when I wear eyeliner or eyeshadow. I’ve found one brand of mascara that I don’t react to. My dermatologist prescribed me a steroid to use but I don’t want to use that long term and just suggested I don’t wear makeup. Any eye makeup products you recommend as well as an eye cream to calm inflammation. My current routine is Morning: 1. Cerave hydrating cleanser 2 maelove vitamin c 3 Vichy 89 4 la roche posay toleriane ultra 5 la roche posay tinted mineral sunscreen PM 1 First aid beauty face cleanser 2 aklief retinol or salicylic acid toner. Take 1-2 days off per week. 3 la roche posay lipikar AP.

Dr. Liu, what is the best way to incorporate copper peptides into my skincare if I also use glycolic acid (a.m.) and tretinoin (p.m.)?

Hi Dr. Jenny, thank you for very informative video. I have oily, sensitive and acne prone skin. I'm supposed to start my accutane journey but I didn't proceed as I'm really afraid with side effect . Currently, i'm trying this routine: Night 1.Cerave foaming cleanser 2. Differin gel Adapalene 0.1% then wash after 15mins. 3. After wash, alternate the Puala's Choice and Cerave Retinol serum every other night 4. Angel Aqua Moisture cream Morning 1. Cerave foaming cleanser 2. Topical Clindamycin 3. Angel Aqua Moisture cream 4. Heliocare Sunscreen Spf 50+ I hope this would work on me and to really avoid being on accutane.

I know it sounds scary but accutane can be a wonderful med to treat acne and many of the side effects can be managed with appropriate skin care. Good luck

Question may be a bit out of line but can the use of products on the scalp cause your facial or body hair to thicken?

I watch your good videos.For older ladies 60+ who never did any cosmetic procedures on their face and who don't want fillers or plastic surgery. Which is best to do first? Love your videos..i am 32 and I've recently started take care of my skin and understand the importance of a proper skincare routine but I am finding it very hard to find a sunscreen for my oily skin. I live in a very rural area in Canada and find it very difficult to find some of the sunscreens that alot of dermatologists are recommending on here. Could you recommend a sunscreen for oily skin on a budget? THANKS
@TateVanPatten

I would recommend ordering online. Im enjoying the skin1004 sun cream, but neutragina is also great on a budget and doesn't break me out even though I have sensitive acne prone oily skin

Do I still have to use sunscreen even though I'm not expose to sun that much? I 'm working and study from home that's why I'm not expose to sun.

It would be quite helpful with there being so many products out there, that you actually recommend brand names of products with the ingredients that you are speaking of to make sure they have enough of them, and that they actually work. I noticed that with each section of your pyramid, you did not do that and honestly the majority of people watching your videos need name brands that actually work. Basically everyone ones healthy skin less wrinkles, etc. so throat products for skin care out there one for dry skin one for oily skin one for normal skin, etc. because wow your video was quite interesting. It just did not contain any particular information on how to pick out good products. I’ve watched a lot of reviews on different products that I have used and you find reviews on each that say they are no good and others that show false results so again specific product names for different types of skin to build a regimen would be quite helpful and I have yet to see anyone do this, but I would think as you are a doctor that you should be one of the first people to put one out there it would Be completely helpful and then everyone could get on with their skin care regimen instead of playing guessing games all the time I hope you take this into consideration. Thank you.
