Flying kites delight us in countless shapes and colors - and flying a kite is simply fun. But it takes time, patience and craftsmanship to get there. Because designing and building a flyable kite yourself is quite time-consuming.
Especially if it is a large, four-legged stunt kite. Artist Kirsten Sauer from Kaden has been a passionate kite maker for many years. In her workshop in the Westerwald, she creates flying kites according to her own designs. Whether sails, booms or lines: each of the many individual parts is important and is made of high-quality material. The kite-building artist paints the cloth, cuts out the shape, sews reinforcements and many small pockets, saws the rods for the poles. In many hours of work, extraordinary unique kites are created.
