Thanx to your advice and inspiration, I found two black leather jackets in my cupboard (one moto, and one with a fake fur collar), black trousers with a white pin stripe (like yours), a long black & brown scarf, a light green trench coat, and a teal blue cotton pullover. My wardrobe is expanding! It is quite cold right now in Johannesburg, and you have inspired me to put together new winter outfits from the classics I forgot I had.
I'm 61 and have lost 108 lbs and am redefining my style. Having a blast shopping for size 10-12 instead of 1-2×. Love your video's and yes to home decor.

Oooo…great tips as always. I finally made it to a Talbots store. I didn’t realize there was one in my city because I never walk down to the end of that section at our outdoor mall. Wow Beth, now I see why you love it. I found a beautiful lounge set by the Haven collection. It’s really cute for Spring/Summer and it will work for a quick run to the market. I saw so many things that looked so well made. I was able to find some items that had just a nice style twist to them so I will be going back or ordering online. Of course I have my eye on a few things. Thank you ❤😊 for sharing your go to stores as a nice reminder.

YES! I'm soooo ready for Spring, but the weather isn't cooperating. It's currently 22 degrees and will top out at 35 today here in southern Missouri. I know warmer days are ahead, though. Thanks for sharing all the Spring outfit and color ideas. It truly does give me great ideas for creating different outfits from my closet. Which brings me to YOUR closet, Beth. I'd enjoy seeing another closet view and cleanout. Also, I'd very much enjoy seeing the recent updates to your floors and other remodels in your home.

Why not add a Home Decor Beth Djalali YT series? Most of us who love fashion love all aesthetics, and our homes are a great way to express our taste, too. A good eye for one thing is often a good eye for everything, as you have!
I would love to see your home! I also love home decor as much as I love fashion. I’m excited for your hardwood floor upgrade, after I installed solid oak flooring, I wouldn’t want to live with anything else. I do have nearly room-sized (leaving a 12- to 16-inch border of wood around the edges) wool area rugs on my oak floors, but I love the warmth, soft look and cleanliness or hardwood. If I ever move to another house, it has to have all hardwood flooring. I debated whether to extend it into my kitchen, but I have had absolutely no water damage there and it’s been about eight years since its installation (I had three coats of oil-based finish applied, water-based ones yellow in the sunlight). I just keep an eye out for leaks and wipe up any water spills if they happen and it still looks brand new. I have enormous, stacked, original Victorian baseboards, so I had shoe moldings installed after the floor went in, to cover any gaps. One piece of advice: before you replace your furniture onto your new floor, check every single piece to make sure it has felt pads on the bottoms of the feet and other places where it touches the floor (self-adhesive felt patches that can be cut into any shape, like to cover rail-shaped supports, is available on Amazon. I didn’t think to do this, and many areas got scratched when the furniture was put back. Almost all my furniture is old (Victorian and Edwardian, to suit the age of the house) and I was surprised to see that most had metal buttons on the bottom of the legs. Those have to be removed, and be sure to remove the spikes used to hold them in, they are like fat-headed nails. I did use some plastic buttons, but the floor installer later told me that felt is a lot better. (I had to ask him to come back and touch up all the derp scratches). If I ever move, I will change those to felt, but even plastic is much less likely to cause damage than metal.

It’s too early where I live, Northern California, to switch out my wardrobe to my spring/summer things. The last few years I did it in early April, then shivered throughout April and May. I’ll try to time it before the June heat comes on, hand-washing and packing away all those sweaters is a ton of work. I did try the gentle “Hand-Wash/Delicate” cycle on my washing machine once, but the wool and cashmere came out super-pilled and, surprisingly, shrank at least a full size (fortunately, I lost a size in weight since then, but I prefer a looser fit). I dried them flat on towels and used cool water for the wash and rinse, of course. Most of my sweaters, admittedly, are bargain-priced cashmere, that might have been the problem (I actually prefer thin cashmere, so they work fine otherwise). Meanwhile, I content myself with wearing warm fabrics, but in lighter colors. Navy and other blues, light greens and pinks, and white, cream and taupe, always feel very fresh and spring-like to me. (I have Soft, Light, Cool coloring, so I avoid warm-toned, very dark or intense, bright colors, navy is “my black”).

Great video. I love my denim jacket, I do wear it a lot. I do need a pair of ballet flats, do you know a brand that has a little arch support, I can not wear a totally flat shoe? I would love a home tour.
I intend on shopping in my closet. I thank you for your list of favorites many of which i already have, Shoes are problematic for me. I wear size 11 and have a C/D width foot. Can you suggest vendor that carry stylish ballet flats in that size?
Love that white skirt on you, it makes you look skinny, great fit for one thing (many women choose the tightest possible size in white bottoms, then say “white makes me look fat”. (white doesn’t, but a tight fit does, they’re just blaming the wrong characteristic, a too-tight fit can be offset a bit by a dark color to compensate for it). Is your skirt still available, and if so, from where? If it’s possible to reply, I’d be very grateful. I do have a white 100% cotton-knit midi skirt that I love, but shorter ones that are still age-appropriate for me (about 3-4 inches above the knees) are so hard to find in white; in cream/ivory, yes, there are plenty, but not true white. I know it’s old-fashioned, but I prefer to match the major color in patterned tops, like stripes, by wearing the same color in the bottoms, so white bottoms with white-patterned tops and cream bottoms with cream-patterned tops. I do wear both colors, but just prefer a cool (toned) to cool and warm to warm match in the colors in an outfit. True white is my favorite but is so hard to find except in basic tees and button-front shirts, of which I have plenty already. Oh, I’m allergic to synthetics, so natural-fiber fabric would be great. Thank you, Beth, or any in the community who might have suggestions.
