How to Build a Turnpike Trail 

This is a short video showing how we built a Turnpike to cross a swamp in our woods. The US Forest Service has some helpful guidance on different solutions in their Trail Construction and Maintenance Notebook. Our goal was to be able to use the trail for hiking and riding our ATV without getting into the mud and ruining the wetlands. The result should give us a good trail for years to come with little impact on water quality and habitat.
