Looks great. One tip would be: try to align it so that you dig out the walls along the north-south and east-west directions. They come out much smoother and straighter that way.
You could also place the fermenter on the wall, (with a floor tile) maybe next to the banner or something so it doesn't take any floor space. Though you have plenty. But very nice build, I might try this one myself =)
You can most likely get more cleared out then I did, especially if you don't mind the exterior being completely against the edge of the house. Alternatively, you could place a 1m horizontal beam off one of the wall panels to the inside and use that as a starting point to place a false wall around the whole area effectively hiding all of the rock on the walls, (although this would lose a bit of space) then just extend it up with another full or half wall until it contacts the roof. Hopefully that made sense...
@@quicksandriggs I ended up using the 1x1 tiles going full circle (excluding stairs) and covering only the bottom row with false wall. Makes for a nice shelf for chests and/or bench upgrades and covers most of the left over stone.
What about pits near water? If I'm on the same level as water do I need to be a certain distance away from the water? Likewise, if I'm on a hill, and dig down is there a depth that will have water? I recently started wanting a basement, but all my valheim bases are next to water.
The water level will be a factor, I am not sure on the exact distances though, If you are near water you will dig down into it. The game has a limit on how far you can dig though (about 8m deep) so if you are on a hill or decently far from water, it won't be an issue.
Due to the high ceilings it hasn't had any problems yet. If you made a pit house and did it a bit smaller, you might need to make a small pop out in the roof somewhere though.
