Would love to just buy a built “crate motor”. I’m planning on rebuilding my G37x motor, I’m at 119k miles. I just wanted 500whp... but now leaning towards 700. Will see you guys next year.
They offer rebuilds on there site if you can’t supply the motor it’s a 1500$ extra charge on top of what you’re getting but they do Crate engines, I bought one really worth the money.
@@destruxandexploze2552 6000$ for a stillen supercharger and it costs less for a SOHO block also acting like a fully built block can’t handle the abuse better then a stock is kinda ridiculous but go on.
@@PR0JCTD And he’s going to make 500whp with just that built block? (That’s rhetorical he can’t NA with a built block) I’m saying he can save money and make 500whp reliably without building the block, Moncef (from Admintuning, UpRev ETC) has a 600whp G37 he has as a daily, it’s an unopened engine. He tunes them as his job. He knows what these engines can handle. I didn’t say the built would handle less power or less abuse, I didn’t say anything like that. I said HE CAN MAKE 500WHP WITHOUT BUILDING HIS VQ AND IT WILL BE RELIABLE.
What compression ratio did you guy use without risk of knock? I know it's 2021 and better technology now but I want to be clear on the safe side and still gain big 800-900 wheel power and still on quite of not insane of boost.
is there a complete kit you guys sell? i plan on building a 3.5 hr engine but i havent been able to find much info for the engine, not many people build hr’s
HR was rare since g only had 1 year before the 37 and z. Most use DE since we had almost 4 years of DE so the price is much cheaper. As for your question a lot of the 37 parts fit our block. Only 3 companies build a complete kit for our and they are 8-10k. If you look around and piece together you can get it built for 5kish the only hard part for me was getting the manifolds. GTM makes a set but they were selling all parts last time I sent them a email but I got a set for about $500 shipped. They are t25 manifolds. So plan GI use gt28s as gurbos of choice
Look at Cylinder Support Systems. Will build you a shortblock capable of handling 1000+ for 5-6k. Obviously need heads and stuff but Soho will charge you 20k for the same thing lol
what would you recommend to replace on a 07 g35 coupe automatic vq? i’m not planning on pushing the car past 550-600 whp, but don’t know what would need to be replaced to keep my engine from blowing as a daily.
If you’re planning on staying auto definitely look into shops like Level 10 that specializes in building bulletproof auto trans it’s gonna cost you more but thats the price to pay. I’m planning the same thing on my auto Z but I’m leaning more towards also doing a 6mt swap cause its gonna be cheaper in the long run.
@@x415xSLAUGHT3Rx went through that nightmare and my level10 "beulletproof" tq converter blew up after 6 months. Had a 2015 z converter and trans i swapped in 3 days later. If you can swap a late vq auto trans or a vr trans.
@@SOHOMotorsports torque on the vq37vhr is really low!! How much of a difference will the 4.3 stroker make torque wise versus the stock block? I was considering doing a vr38dett swap as well your thoughts!?!
@@joshurmetal420 what do you mean not stock it’s literally a built trans from ipt. Monsif from admin tuning uses it in his g37 that was making 700whp with a stock transmission and motor the transmission went after 3 months of use tho
