made a nazgul deck which is more midrange, but slowly upgrading it and crafting those rares / mythics which are in a wide range of decks

I'm still pretty new on MTGArena so have the basic starter decks. The mono color ones and the dual color ones. Played a bit last night won more than lost. Still don't have any custom decks yet. But I'm not doing any ranked play just simple match ups casually for the daily quests still. Have almost 20K gold to get some packs.

Sounds like you're making a good start. When the new set comes out in September, it would be good to put that gold either to draft events, or just buy the new packs to get some wildcards to craft some effective budget decks. The starter decks won't be too effective for very long :)

Looks like Green may be a good starter, because it combos well with White or Red, based on WUBRG, if you want to go to two color.

This is a nice video on how to craft a white humans deck. Might be better if you talked in general terms for multiple colors instead of being so esoteric with one color and one type

I just started playing Magic: The Gathering I downloaded the mobile game I figured that was a good starting point before playing the physical version with people but I have no idea WTF I'm doing its like math LOL It makes NO SENSE to me I have spent 2 hours trying to figure out how it's played but I just don't get it & building a custom deck is even more confusing because after the tutorial & color challenges are complete the game gives you a lot of Card packs + the ones new users get + the ones you get through game codes now I have a huge amount of cards that I don't know what to do with because I don't know how they work it's driving me nuts it's so overwhelming & I naturally do not have the patience for this

You're right that there is some math involved. I'd give it a little longer to get used to how the stages of the game work. Once you've played for a short time, it'll just start to make perfect sense. Building a deck can be complicated, so it's usually best to copy decks from online to start with until you feel comfortable making your own adjustments.
