Good job D, your methods are old skool! Sometimes back to basics does the job, my dad was a builder , came here from 🇱🇨50s, nice to see the mixing , brings back memories! 🤜🏾
Good solid job of the steps Darren look good. I used to use newspaper to soak surface water up as you trowel it. Makes a difference! Just lay it onto the wet concrete and gently trowel it. Allows you to finish it quicker
Some of the mixes seemed very wet. The second mix seemed drier but then they got wet again. Hard graft so I shouldn't comment but it made the finishing almost impossible. It will be solid but some texture on the steps might have been better....but that wasn't possible. Need some Caribbean sun on it!
What's with the old skool italian style mixing haven't seen that since my dad was mixing concrete in garden the way my nonno taught him when I was a child 🤌 😅
Hard work is good once in a while and important to teach the young men the value of a days graft. Too many young men these days are work shy and we see the repercussions. These guys are turning into men before your eyes
@@darrenthebuilderIts easier to fix a building while playing Fortnite... Greets freom germany, same shoot happening here! The young guys need to learn to listen and work.
I understand the graft but why didnt you sprinkle some cement on top and brush stroke it, youve grafted and essentially made a slip hazard unfortunately, appreciate the graft tho keeps the blood warm
@darrenthebuilder oh snap, tarp wouldn't have helped either because of the slope, If nothing else they're some solid steps, knocking the sharp edge off was a good touch, still thinking it will be a slip hazard unless I'm missing something ?
