Nice solution for that kickback (which was scary)! Terrific stuff as always.

Lots of problems here. First, for the sticking, get a bearing the same size of the minor diameter of the cutter. Cut a piece of scrap to the final width that you want for the finished part. Set the shaper with the bearing at the cutting height, with the scrap resting on the bearing, and bring the shaper outfeed fence to support. Then set the outboard fence to hold the scrap on the bearing and the outfeed fence, so they are all touching.. lock the shaper outfeed fence down, then lock down the outboard fence. Then move the shaper outfence out slightly for wiggle room, maybe 1/32 inch. At this point, you can get a preliminary setup on the feeder. The outboard fence should be maybe 3/8 to allow the feeder tires to go over it. Set the shaper infeed fence to allow the raw stock to fit between it and the outboard fence with a little wiggle room. Something like this... RESPECT the shaper. Never have someone in the path of the cutter outfeed because if something goes wrong it can shoot out the stock. Never cope without a clamp. Your sled needs a gaurd between your hand and the cutter. Sorry to be critical but people watch these videos, thinking that this is the way to do it.

Bro, what a wonderful (and scary) machine is that, i have seen it before and love it, so far im doing fine with my router, hopefully someday i might justify the acquisition of such an awesome piece of equipment.
