Hi there, my son just shot me your video - Its sad that the original 1986 AMT / Ertl kits have depreciated in value because of the cheap replica kits. I designed the Bison cartoons and airbrushed them on the original Meister Brau Blazing Bison Tractor for Steve and Bud. The kits sold for $10. back in the 1986 then went to $150. after 2000. I hope those who have the Original 1986 kit treasure them!
Dee, I have three of them. I've always loved the over-the-top kit and the graphics. Aside from that it was a real drag pull from the era of anything goes. Right On! -Doug
I bought this kit because I had built it when I was a kid. The build looks nice but I noticed the chassis was not square the placement of the fuel tank the wrong spot it goes directly behind the first engine in line with the counsel. The directions have a diagram where each part is supposed to go on the frame. That could be part of the issue where your engine didn't fit. Again it turned out nice. My original kit was broke during a fight between me and my older brother God rest his soul. Love the videos keep up the good work.
I like all of your video's as well as my son! He has learned alot from mostly you as well as i can help as much as possible. I have the '86 version and this one as well. Im taking both kits to make 1 due to the fact of the frame in the '86 kit is spot on plus im adding an extra engine and its taken alot of skills and styrene to do it. It's honestly skills i dont have. Thats the reason why im slowly building it.
Awesome!! So Glad Your Son is involved in this - great way to develop dexterity and an eye for detail!... wonder why schools don't pass out kits! Thanks for sharing!=^D
Ive got the old '85 issue and the new one! Nice work and i hope one of the 2 chassis i have will mount correctly so the build will go together as planned.
To be honest with you, i doubt at all i'll even use these decals. I think im gonna moch up the kit with a Budweiser Puller using a NASCAR Dale Earnhardt Jr. decal sheet. I have a friend here in N.C. that actually pulls in the NTPA and thats how i've learned over time that they updated the safety making the puller mandatory to have roll bars around them in case they happen to break while pulling. More safety on the driver.
