I could really do with an answer to this question.. I hope you see it... Where did you fit the battery on this build? We have the trek fuel ex 8 2014 that we want to use this on.. (your X1 pro Gen 3 model) but we hope the battery (B52) will fit tight onto the motor on the underside of the down tube... ???? We have changed the forks to rockshox 160mm travel...this bike you are showing here only has 120mm travel forks on it (I think) So, we're hoping the bigger forks will give us this option????
For this build, we fit our previous gen battery packs on it but it was the small 36V pack inside the triangle. Depending on the frame size, you should be able to fit the B52 nicely but best to check this with our 1:1 scale printouts available on our downloads page. www.cycmotor.com/downloads
Great product and video. Can the PF version be converted to BSA version at a later date if I change frames? I have a couple of FS 29er doner bikes, a cannondale scalpel (PF30_46x73) and Gary Fisher (Trek) HiFi Plus (PF41_92mm). Both bikes have an upper shock mount so I was hoping to use inside triangle option for better ground clearance. I am unsure which frame is more suited for the conversion therefore I wanted to keep my options open so was looking at the pressfit version. This would require a PF stepdown adapter and 19mm spacers on the Cannondale. Have you had any feedback on that combination? Do you have any feedback of PF30 concersions with PF30>BSA converters? Another questions, it looks like that only press fits on the drive side, with the non-drive side internally, threaded are there any reports of creaking? Thanks
Looks like it will collect a lot of mud inside this "box" under the frame ( where controler is). I just can't belive they did not notice it . Or may be Im wrong?
@@pascalkargut3237 yea man before this I was looking at paradox kinetic but this seems cheaper and is better performance. Do you have a battery solution in mind ? I think they have a magnet mount battery system listed on the website but yea let me know how you like it after you buy it.
Mid-drives would be perfect if they had regenerative braking (then you save a ton of work with having to change brake pads all the time). Also, they need to be powerful enough to not use gears. Bicycle chains and gears wear out way too fast with powerful mid-drives. Better to just use single speed with motorcycle chain.
Square taper?..wow that's the lowest level crank interface ever invented. Then put it on a ebike. Isis option is better, but Be great if they had a spindle that accepts next sl crank arms. Nice kit though . Keeping this one in mind.
They're indestructible when set up right with good amount of torque. I've destroyed many ISIS spindle when I rode trials. Those ISIS BBs never lasted like the older square taper with Middleburn cranks. Even other brands use square taper and I'm sure there's a good reason...
