You didn't mention that the left pedal has reverse threads, so counterclockwise to tighten, going the wrong way is a common mistake. Ju(s)tice: sounds like the crank is loose. If you catch it early enough you can tighten it w/ a 15mm wrench, 45ft-lbs max. If still lose you need new cranks.You also may need a new hub, if so w/ a cheap uni, I'd get a new one, a new hub is almost as much $
