How to Buy a Coffee Machine in 2023 | Review 

Bought my dream setup from you about 8 months ago now, Pedro - my white E1P and Atom 65. Still in love as much with it today as the day it arrived on my door step. Satisfies my need for an outstanding coffee, as well as looking so schmick on my bench! ❤️ Over the years, I’ve progressively moved through the levels - a $100 machine with no grinder (🤮) in about 2003, Sunbeam 6910 with EM0480, Maver Makin Leva with Macap M4D, NS Musica Lux with the Macap, back a step to the Breville BDB when the Musica died and I saved, to now the VA Eagle One Prima with Atom. I’ve reached the pinnacle (well, for another 10 years, anyway!) 😆 One benefit is that I taught my daughter about making coffee properly from about 13 years old, and she knows more than a lot of supposed head baristas, and I couldn’t be prouder when she comes home and whinges to me about how the head barista doesn’t clean the steam wand as they go, or adjust the grinder properly, etc. 😅

My choice of setup is 1. Dalla Corte - Mina 2. Ceado - E37Z Hero 3. Kruve - EQ Propel & Imagine 4. Sworks Design - WDT 5. Rhino Tamper 6. DiFluid - Microbalance & R2 Extract 7. Roest - L100 Plus

My dream machine is me old french press with a newly discovered speciality local coffee shop that has this month's roasts, and an IzPresso hand grinder with filtered water. One box of filters lasts 6 months, taste is affected by the end of the month 's filter cycle. I also love Expresso machine coffee, but don't wan't the faff. Comparison is in the mid 90% taste wise, I'll continue to take one for the team. Kept my spice grinder for supermarket beans, I don't mind slumming it now and then. Then rather than now mind you!

Hi Pedro, thanks for this very interesting showcase. I have a GCP, which I have twecked a bit, and a Urbanic 70s. Price being my guide I feel I have the best bng for my buck. Iwould love to have a dual boiler machine and thMahlkoenig EK 43s. My little grinder has 60mm ss burs and looks like a baby Mahlkoenig. I am very happy with the espresso we get with this basic setup and probably will not upgrade anytime soon. There is a PID setup called Gaggiuino which gives full temp, preasure and flow control. That could be in my future.
